Up for auction is a really neat antique coffee/tea bin from a store display. It has a Victorian looking lady on the front and some flower design near the front drawer. It measures 16" tall 10.5" wide and 13" maximum depth( includes the drawer) The sides have lost most of their paint. The top has hinges that still function and the roll in drawer in the front works. It has lots of surface rust and some pitting under where the cylinder sets. The cylinder was designed so the store could identify the contents of the bin as:Coffee. B.F. Japan, Gunpowder, Imperial. Japan, Oolong, Eng. Breakfast, or Young Hyson, The cylinder and the holder for it are misshaped and paint comes off the cylinder with insertion or withdrawal. So the new owner may want to select a"coffee" as a permanent selection or try to get this back in shape ... moreso it will roll. It also is missing a turning device so that you can move the cylinder in place. As it is you can snug the device in to hold it like in the first picture and have it be stationary. The last photo shows the parts that go on the open end of the cylinder that might be re-welded. It also has some dents and lots of character. No replica here. Hard to read but on the top I believe it says S.A. ILILEY& CO TIN CANS NEW YORK. Really cool display piece.

It stands 15" tall with cover; mouth is 5 3/8" across; bottom diameter is 8" I used a mason jar to fill it up with water to check volume; it holds 7 1/2 quarts. There are no leaks from the spigot. And the spigot dispenses well.
