And when I opened the lid and out pop the original cups! All I could says is WOW. There are 4 Waxed Refresher 85 cups. Also 5 plastic cups as well they were protecting the old cups. Almost forgot that's original Paper sticker and you can read it! This has been in my display case for years. I'm a single father of two so my house is a man cave. Well except for my daughter room. And now we are moving to a smaller place so some of my treasure will be listed soon so keep a watch on my other items. Now the bad news! Vtg AMERICAN LACE PAPER Drinking CUP Dispenser STREAMLINED ART DECO Railroad
FIVE DAY AUCTION UP FOR AUCTION IS A REALLY NICE DOUBLE PAPER CUP DISPENSER with the original bracket. Art deco design. This type of dispenser was used in the early and mid twentieth century on trains. In doctors and dentists office, etc. The chrome top has the words- AMERICAN CUPS. Dispenser was made by AMERICAN LACE PAPER CO. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I found reference to this company being in business from 1918 to 1943. I put those new yellow cups in to show how it would look with cups but it obviously would have originally dispensed simple white paper cups. Measures approx. 8 3/4" tall. Approx. 6" across, and approx.3 1/2 inches deep with the bracket. Some very light. Considering it's age, wear on the metal. Chrome top is excellent with some very very light wear. No dents. Three little glass windows have very, very, light ... morescratches. Original metal wall mount has some old paint. This is a really neat dispenser- good luck in your bidding. See photos.
