Herbs, powders, flowers, organics etc. for sale, and would sit on the counter of an olden day apothecary shop or drug store. They would sit with the cork end down and the large glass base up so the product within would be totally viewable. These were also used by exhibitors at local fairs to display examples of seeds, grains, wheat stalks, etc. that they would enter into competition. These are rarely found for sale as they weren't discarded but were used over and over again until they broke. Also they are blown in very thin glass so that the displayed items inside would not be distorted but clearly visible and as a result they are extremely light and fragile. What's exceptional about this one is that it has started to turn a very light amethyst color from exposure to the sunlight, an earmark of true antique glass. This listing is for a RARE original 1940s PEPSI COLA BOTTLE DISPLAY. This is the very hard to find plaster display with the beautiful lady standing next to the bottle. This piece is rarely up for sale and especially not on this NEAR MINT. Original condition. It measures approx. 11” tall. It is marked on the side with“MADE BY PLASTO MFG. CO CHICAGO” It has wonderful original paint with absolutely no touch up or restoration of any kind. The 1950s bottle is full and capped and is glued into place. The other of these that I’ve seen were also glued so I’m not sure if that’s what the manufacturer did or the store owner who originally displayed the piece. I can tell you that the gluing is very old and not a new addition. There are a couple very minor flakes of paint missing and one small imperfection behind the bottle as seen in the photo. Prince Matchabelli Crown Wind Song (1953) Giant Store Display Perfume Bottle
This auction is for a very large Prince Matchabelli perfume bottle. Our research has determined it was used as a store display for the brand and was probably filled with perfume from which samples were given. This model and coloring is called the Wind Song which they produced in 1953. The ground glass stopper is also all glass with gold coloring. The much smaller antique all glass Matchabellis usually sell from $100-$250. This one is very large! Approximately 8.5" tall x 8" long and 4" wide. 32 fluid oz capacity? The inside is clean and still has a slight hint of the perfume. The bottom is mold marked PRINCE MATCHABELLI and that is all. Some of the gold is rubbed off along with some of the green on one side. VINTAGE COLUMBIA CREST SOLID WOOD STORE DISPLAY WINE BOTTLE RACK TABLE SHELF
THIS IS A VERY NICE. UNIQUE PIECE! We are pleased to offer this vintage, Columbia Crest Winery, solid wood, store advertising wine display rack. This beautiful and charming stand holds 30 bottles of wine. It is crafted of hardwood with very nice construction(NO PARTICLE BOARD) and it is quite sturdy. There are 6 wine holder shelves(open in the center) of solid wood which is carved to hold a bottle. The front holders are designed for the neck of the bottles while the back shelves are carved with larger areas to accomodate the bottom of the wine bottles. The wine bottles rest slightly downward and there is a wooden back lip that keeps them from sliding out of the rack. Each of the 6 horizontal shelves holds 5 bottles of wine. This is a wonderful piece to display your wines and also lends itself to other. Functional uses. The wine rack has a ... moresolid wood"butcher block" type top shelf. The Columbia-Crest logo is carved on the front of the top shelf. It would make a fantastic kitchen island or display for a small space or a perfect prep island/shelf for a larger kitchen. Offered is a very special child's hot water bottle. Dating to about the 1940's, I believe. The bottle may once have been used, since there is a cotton string attached to the hanging hole, but it's been in my own collection for over 20 years. The rubber bottle is shaped like a kitten, and is pink. In unpacking it recently, I noticed that the rubber is becoming brittle; probably would do best with display only and little handling, but definitely no long usable. The box is as cute as the bag, and is covered with babies playing, in pinks and blues. These last two appear older. One wood red and white mushroom top pourer and stopper. The cork part is also made of wood. Mushroom cap unscrews for pouring.Good condition. Measure 2.74" in length. This appears to be a rare old Whiskey bottle in a nice unusual shade of Tobacco Amber color but. I am not sure if it's Chinese or Japanese Asian or what this says or originally held it might possibly a Market Display we don't know, it is a huge 15-3/4 in. tall and in a 2 piece mold the base is flat and looks like a Hinge Mold base, the seam lines on the sides run under the heal edge and ends underneath. The seams on the neck ends before the top and you can feel the Applied section& additional glass inside of the opening we are far from expert enough to say if this is what collectors call a Gloppy top but, you can see the extra glass running under the top and also there's 2 indentions for the reusable metal enclosure the metal has long rusted away but the Gray Ceramic stopper is included also some wear on the base from age ... moreand use. Vintage 29" Dewar's Inflatable Scotch Whiskey Advertising Display Bottle
Vintage Dewar's Scotch Whiskey advertising bottles. This is an inflatable bottle standing 29 inches tall and 7 1/2 inches wide. It's in excellent condition outside of needing a wash. The bottle uses a air seal like a vintage air mattress and doesn't appear to leak at all. What appears to be tape in the photo showing the bottles top is actually a plastic lace to assist in hanging if desired. Not sure but we believe these were available back then only through a Dewar's distributor making this a great Dewar's advertising opportunity.
