I am selling a Vintage 1977 Royal Canadian Mint 7 piece Specimen Set(SS63) This set has the basic denominations use by Canada from 1 Cent to(2) 1 Dollar coins. The 1977 KM118 Silver jubilee dollar is.5 Silver; the 1977 Canoe Dollar is nickel as is four of the coins from 5 cents to 50 cents and the one cent coin is brass. The set is encased in the original case issued by the Ottawa mint. The set is in uncirculated mint condition. The detailing and highlights of the indents. Ridges, lines, letters and borders are in pristine shape as well as I can determine it's grade from my research. I had to patch the case by using school glue to secure the vinyl case holding the set to the inside cover. I am offering this to someone to add too. Complete 8 X 8 Collection of Invert Error Double Matched Sets. 64 Plate Blocks) The Invert Error Double matched set contains eight plate blocks printed from exactly the same plates and have exactly the same plate numbers. There are eight different double matched sets. This is a complete set total of 64 Hammarskjold Plate Blocks. Each different. All are mint Never Hinged. The Invert Error Double Matched Set is unique to the Dag Hammarskjold Commemorative and illustrates that the“Dag” is not two separate varieties. But one single variety printed two different ways. The eight plate blocks of this set were printed with the same plates and show exactly the same plate numbers. This scarce set was created as a direct result of the inverted yellow printing error and subsequent“special printing” of 1962. In 1962. Two Hammarskjold Commemorative sheets(400 ... morestamps) were printed in error with inverted yellow color. Several error panes showed up in the hands of collectors. One lucky collector who discovered he had a complete pane of 50 error stamps estimated its value at $500,000, a lot of money in 1962! When government officials became aware of the error, Postmaster General J. Edward Day ordered that more of the errors be deliberately produced to completely destroy their value. They made a special printing of 40,270,000 stamps. Since that time, the philatelic community has pretty much treated Scott# 1204 as just another commemorative variety- but its not! It is a genuine Invert Error, the rarest type of error! Why continue to emphasize the way 1204 is similar to other stamps? Here are some ways it is different: First of all, there are four different Hammarskjold singles including the normal 1203 stamp. There are three face different single stamp varieties with the inverted yellow color. Eighty percent of the inverts printed were variety 1, ten percent variety-2 and ten percent variety-3.
