FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS THIS RARE ANTIQUE MAID OR WAITRESS UNIFORM DRESS AND MATCHING APRON FROM WHITE SWAN FROM THE LATE 1930s. THIS COTTON UNIFORM DRESS HAS A WHITE COLLAR AND CUFFS ON THE LONG SLEEVES. THE OUTSIDE EDGES ARE SCALLOPED. THE UNIFORM COMES WITH A WHITE APRON THAT MATCHES THE COLLAR AND CUFFS AND HAS THE SCALLOPED OUTSIDE EDGES. THE APRON IS MADE FROM A THIN LIGHTWEIGHT COTTON BATISTE. THE TIES MAKE A VERY PRETTY BOW IN THE BACK. THE DRESS ALSO COMES WITH A MATCHING BELT WITH TWO BUTTON CLOSURES AND BELT LOOPS. THE DRESS HAS A RIGHT FRONT POCKET. THREE HIDDEN BUTTON CLOSURES IN THE FRONT AND A SNAP CLOSURE AT THE NECK. THERE IS ONE BUTTON CLOSURE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SLEEVES THE LABEL STATES THAT THE UNIFORM IS A SIZE 38. SHOULDER TO SHOULDER MEASURED 15 1/2 INCHES. THE BUST MEASURED 40 INCHES. THE WAIST MEASURED 35 INCHES. ... moreTHE HIPS MEASURED 45 INCHES. THE SLEEVES ARE 23 1/2 INCHES LONG. WHEN TURNED UP. THE DRESS IS 43 INCHES LONG. THE APRON IS 16 INCHES WIDE ACROSS THE WIDEST PART OF THE FRONT AND 16 INCHES LONG DOWN THE FRONT CENTER. THE WAISTBAND AND TIE ARE 52 INCHES LONG. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT ACCURATE BODY MEASUREMENTS BE TAKEN PRIOR TO BIDDING. ESPECIALLY WHEN BUYING VINTAGE CLOTHING. IT IS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA TO ALLOW A LITTLE EXTRA ROOM FOR COMFORT AND EASE IN MOVEMENT. VINTAGE ITEMS SHOULD NOT BE EXPECTED TO BE PERFECT. AS THEY ARE PRE-OWNED AND DECADES OLD. THIS LOVELY OUTFIT IS IN VERY GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION. THERE ARE NO STAINS, HOLES, RIPS OR TEARS IN THE DRESS. THE APRON HAS A REPAIR IN FRONT, AND ONE TIE HAS BEEN REATTACHED. THERE ARE SOME TINY HOLES, POSSIBLE MOTH BITES, THAT ARE NO LARGER THAN THE SIZE OF A PIN HEAD. ALTHOUGH, IT IS NOT TORN, THE TOP OF THE TIE LOOKS TO BE FRAGILE. PLEASE REFER TO THE PHOTOS.
