My best guess is that it is from the late 1940's. It appears that the original color of this lamp was red and has been repainted black. It looks to be in relatively good shape with the glass of the guide light being perfectly intact. Also. There is some hardware on the lamp for mounting purposes but I cannot tell you how complete it is. The only visible markings on this unit is one the glass itself which says"Sealed Tractor Lamp Made in the USA" I hope that this is of value to someone because it is a very nice piece. And has embossed markings that read: Guide Tractor Lens, 5936059" This lamp is in very good condition with no dents or repairs, and only a few light blemishes. It has been tested and is in good working order. There is one mounting bolt on the base, and it is ready for use. It appears that the body and ring were painted by a previous owner, but all is soid, with one small ding in the outer ring. This lamp is complete with bulb, nice Guide lens and rubber gasket. Item No.025-22J Vintage GUIDE 5936059 Tractor glass lens with bezel. No chips or cracks. Measures about 4 7/8" across lens. NOTE: Unless otherwise noted all lens auctions are for used lenses. All usable as is. Some in better condition than others. Some lenses may have small chips or nicks around the outer edge which would not be seen when installed. Some lenses may have light scratches from shelf wear, etc. Any chips or cracks on the face of the lens that would be seen when installed will be noted in the description above. The Guide marking is probably covered by the paint on the others as it is not noticeable. One housing has one small dent(circled in pictures) The other light has 3 good size dents. Also included in the auction is a dent free housing that could be a replacement for the housing with 3 dents. One reflector is in excellent condition and is very reflective. The other is in very good condition. The lights are approx 7 1/4- 7 1/2" in diameter to outside of bezel or trim ring. This does not include the tabs Very heavy duty lights each light weighs almost 6 lbs I do not know the age or application ... morefor these lights. This is one heavy duty tractor lamp! It weighs 5.34 LBS and is about 5" deep. The 6" glass lens is in great condition. Lens is marked GUIDE TRACTOR LAMP and has the#921685 on it. This is equipment that I do not know much about. For that reason. I took pictures from every angle so that you would have a better sense of what it is. My own research suggests that this is an IH Farmall C Tractor Guide 4 5/8" Light Lamp Housing. My best guess is that it is from the late 1940's. It appears that the original color of this lamp was red and has been repainted black. It looks to be in relatively good shape with the glass of the guide light being perfectly intact. Also. There is some hardware on the lamp for mounting purposes but I cannot tell you how complete it is. The only visible markings on this unit is one the glass itself which says"Sealed Tractor Lamp Made in the USA" I hope that this is of value to someone because it is a very nice piece.
