1924 McCormick Deering IH Throttle Governed Spark Plug Motor. Hit Miss Original
This auction is for a 1924 McCormick Deering International Harvester Throttle governed 1 1/2 hp motor. I believe it is 100 percent original and complete with original wico magneto. Crank handle, carb, oiler, Lincoln spark plug, skids, etc. Magneto has good spark and I am told that the engine has run in the recent past. Crank shaft bearings have no play and are tight. Motor is free. Good compression. It appears that there may be much of the original paint under the 91 years of patina. Auction also includes all the attachments that the motor spent its life with. Canedy Otto post drill. Grist mill, short and long belts. Grinder, and other attachments. Motor ran a blacksmith shop and then wood workers shop later in life. Oiler was removed only for transport.
