I am selling an NICE Original Behlin Power steering pump with mounting bracket attached and short steering shaft with worm gear on the end of it and hydraulic hoses ALL shown that WORKS that we just took off of a farmall SM Propane tractor. They had made it work under the hood of the tractor! it belongs in front of the steering wheel up by the column on a SM or SMTA or MTA or M NOT under the hood, but again they made it work and pounded up the hood so it would fit! you need different brackets to make it fit the 300 350 400 450 tractor under the hood. you get what is shown, LOOK at the photos! up for auction is a farmall t/a assembly. came from a 560. Should fit the SMTA, 400, and 450. this is the complete assembly, not just the t/a. i am including the clutch and friction disc, both of which are in excellent shape, the throw out assembly for the clutch, and the input shaft. i looked this unit over, and there are no broken teeth, no damage that i could see. all of it turned fine while still installed in the tractor. it is pretty heavy, my scale shows the assembly at 75 lbs. sold as is, ask any questions before bidding. Char-Lynn Power Steering System for Farmall M, SM, SMTA, 400 & 450 Tractors
This is best power steering system for Farmall M. SM, SMTA, 400& 450 Tractors. I removed it from an operation Farmall 400 tractor designated for pulling contests. This is the later style Char-Lynn motor which was improved over the earlier Char-Lynn motor– And it was much better than other brands steering systems used as original equipment. I could steer my tractor with one finger. It was working fine. You are getting all the necessary Mounting Brackets. Pump, Reservoir, Hydraulic Motor, Dash mounting plate, Steering shaft hookups, Fan offset spacers, Crankshaft pulley, New Belt and a copy of the original mounting instructions. You will need to cut your steering shaft(with the directions provided) and fit it to this hardware. Some parts have been repainted. Call Jim Perry for questions at 937-773-5811
