JOHN DEERE UNSTYLED A MUFFLER AND AIR INTAKE STACK 15" ANTIQUE TRACTOR A AO AR
Up for sale is a 15" tall muffler and air intake stack that came off my 1936 AO. These are shorter than the standard A intake and muffler. They were installed by the previous owner when the tractor was restored. They are both high quality and heavy gauge steel with very nice welds. Back when they made quality stuff and not the cheesy reproductions that they offer now made of thin metal and crappy welds. The 15" air intake and muffler were used on the model AR. I found the mushroom type caps that were supposed to be on the AO and installed them. The muffler and air stack were only used a couple of months from the time of restoration to the time I pulled them off which was about 10 years ago. They are like new and the paint is still good. These look to have been new items when installed because they are absolutely clean with no pitting ... moreor rust. The only surface rust is around the mounting holes on the bottom side of the air stack where the paint came off during removal and from sitting on my shelf for so long. These can be used on an unstyled A. AO or AR if that's the look you are going for. No warranties and all sales are final so make sure this is what you need before bidding. I am listing them as pick up only but I have packed them in a box that measures 11 x 11 x 29 and weighs 12 lbs, my zip code is 21904 so you can calculate your shipping cost if you want me to ship it. We can discuss payment separately on that when the auction is complete. I accept paypal but prefer cash. If a check is sent is has to be completely cleared at my bank before the item is shipped. For your consideration is this used tractor muffler. This tractor muffler is complete and in excellent condition. This tractor muffler has some minor scrapes and scratches on the exterior. The high temp paint is partially burned out around the center housing. The flange for the clamp on the inlet is slightly bent. Very minor surface rust at the seams. Some black carbon build-up around the bottom flange and top rain cap. Please see the photos for more detail. It has a 2 1/2" inlet and outlet. The top stack is 8" The body is 18" the inlet pipe is 2" and the body diameter is 6" The part numbers are 022; 14245. It also includes the rain cap seen in the photos. I am not certain which tractor this came off of. But it will fit any tractor with a 2 1/2" exhaust pipe. I am cleaning out a shelf in our shed and came across ... morethis.
