This auction is for a nice. Very hard to find antique iron Hocking Valley tractor or farm machinery seat. Hocking Valley is stenciled in the iron on the back of the seat. The seat is painted fire engine red. As you can see, the seat was heavily pitted prior to being painted and some surface rust shows through in areas. There are rough points inside the"N" and"A" in the stencil where small parts may be missing. The seat is otherwise fully intact and has no cracks. Measures 16" side to side and 13" front to back.

The identifying mark on the bottom looks to be the I.H. symbol and a"C" after it. May be lots of coats of paint on it. It's 17-1/2" inches wide. 14 inches deep and 4 inches thick, weighs about 14 lbs. It's in great shape. And a great collectors item! This would be great for a decorating piece. Antique Vintage Chromed Tractor or Implement Seat Here's a dandy old steel seat for some old piece of equipment. I don't know if it went on a tractor or a piece of other equipment. Features a cast iron mounting arm marked"K" Appears to be brass sleeves in the mounting holes. Cast iron marked"HS 2 07" does this indicate the year 1907 of manufacture? Chrome finish is good to very good. There are some scratch and scuff marks and light corrosion across much of the seat and back area. Impossible to photograph. But perhaps it will show up enough for you to view it using the ebay zoom feature. I did use Comet and a soft sponge to clean off all the dirt and grunge as this was found in an old barn. Seat measures 15" wide x 14" front to back. Square mounting plate underneath measures 4-1/2" x 3-3/8" Cast ... moreiron arm is 6" long. Connects to 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" cast iron knuckle(marked HS 2 07) This joint moves freely. Iron shaft from knuckle to seat underside mounting plate is 4-1/2" long. Inside diameter of both of the brass mounting bar sleeve is 1/2" diameter. The hole in the iron knuckle above the marking HS 2 07 is 1-1/8" diameter. Seat weighs 9 lbs.
