1942 John Deere Model B Tractor with Electric Start
This auction is for a 1942 John Deere Model B Tractor SN 123XXX. This is an electric start tractor. Tractor is complete with only the medallion on the front. The drawbar and the battery covers missing. The engine is loose and turns over. But I have not tried to start it. The wheels are all good, and one front and one rear tire do not hold air. The other rear is new. The tin and grills are good. There is some extra iron under the tractor that appears to have been used as a hitch of some sort probably for a mower. The top of the transmission has been taken off and has been left loose on top of the tractor without being sealed back up. The tractor is as I found it. It was originally shipped from the factory on September 24, 1941 to Sidney, Nebraska according to the Two-Cylinder production record official document which I will include with the ... moretractor. This is a John Deere A tractor it is serial number 504018. The engine turns over and it still had the carb on it. As you can see there are parts missing. For sale I have the Radiator off a 1945 John Deere A Electric Start Tractor. Judge Condition for yourself from the pictures. There is rust, as seen in the pictures. It was holding water when I pulled it off the tractor. It looks like there was a new core was put in at some point in time.
