This carburetor was on my 1958 Ford 861. 801 Series. It always ran fine, and not until I went to restore the tractor did we realize this was not the original carburetor for my tractor. I bought the correct one and am selling this one. It is a Marvel Schebler TSX-777. I believe it is off of a John Deere 440 Crawler, but can't be positive. Up for auction is a MARVEL SCHEBLER CARBURETOR for a JOHN DEERE 45 COMBINE. The part# is TSX-877 84 N. The choke and fuel rod connector is bent shown in picture# 5 and 6. It is missing 3 of the screws to hold the bottom and top of the carburetor together. The castings parts are in good shape and this will make a good core for a rebuild. 1" BORE 2-1/4" MOUNTING BOLT PATTERN. Up for auction is this TSX-405. I was told that it is from an industrial 1010 gas tractor. This carburetor was purchased from a farm auction and all I know is what I was told at time of auction. See photos. The carb has been media blasted and has a new unused top gasket that has not had gas on it at all. I saw this when I took the top half off. It is very clean inside and was purchased with scotch tape on all inlets and appears to have been rebuilt but I obviously cannot tell for sure. If you have any questions please ask. MARVEL SCHEBLER CARBURETOR VINTAGE TSX 149-36 1"BORE REBUILDABLE
Vintage marvel Schebler cast iron updraft carburetor. Model tag reads: TSX 149 36 Has 1-inch throttle bore. 2 and 3/8 inches center to center on the mounting flange bolt holes. Main and idle circuits have adjustment screws. Mixture screws both move. Although not freely. Throttle shaft moves freely, and is tight in body of carb- not excessively worn. Choke shaft is rusted tightly in place. Drain plug is rusted in place. Bowl screws freed up with penetrating oil and careful tapping. Smaller screws not tested, and may need penetrating oil/heat/tapping etc to free them. This carb can be rebuilt. But it will take penetrating oil and patient careful skilled work to get the rusted parts free without damaging them. Old paint remaining on carb body looks to me like badly faded Allis-Chalmers orange. But I cannot guarantee that this is from an AC tractor. ... moreSold as-is and without warranty. Painted green so am not sure if it was used on a John Deere or Oliver. What I have found is that this carb was used on Continental F-162 Series engines. 1943-46 Massey Harris 101Jr used this engine along with Lincoln SA-200 welders. Possibly fits Continental F-163 and Miller welders. Please check yourself. As found. Have not tried.
