John Deere LUC Starter - 12A Combine - L LA Tractor - Cleaned - Delco Remy
I went through this starter for my John Deere LUC power unit but I've decided I'm just going to crank start it so I no longer have a use for this starter. I took it apart. Cleaned it up, primed and painted it. The paint doesn't look the best from handling it-could use a fresh coat, still looks okay as-is. I replaced the starter button, oil cup, added the acorn nuts on the end. The original dust cover on the end of the starter was rough so I used some aluminum and wrapped it with that, looks okay. I bench tested the starter due to my motor being seized up and it spun over quietly and seems to have plenty of power. I was told this starter would fit the JD L& LA tractors-not sure about that. Hot Wico XH909 magneto that was professionally rebuilt from top to bottom by Kevin the magneto guy. Completely disassembled this magneto.
