John Deere 430S Tractor. John Deere 430 Standard Tractor. Nice little tractor that would be great to restore or use in your garden. Two Cylinder Engine starts and runs great. Tractor has the five speed transmission option and drives good- no obvious transmission issues that I can detect. Hydraulics raise/lower; this tractor has the Dual Touch O Matic Option( more desirable on a standard) This option allows you work a front mount implement independently of the rear three point/toolbar. This 430 has the Factory JD 4110 One Row Mid-Mount Cultivator rig on it including the rear toolbar. I added a#41A Fertilizer Side Dresser designed/matched to the cultivator(first set of four pictures; the next seven pictures are the same tractor before the side dresser was added) Personally I like having a period correct factory implement paired with the tractor ... moreto tell a better story of its history. there are plenty of tractors at tractor shows but tractors with implements seem to draw more attention. Tractor also has the rear weights on spinout rims. If someone wanted the tractor without the side dresser or without the cultivator and side dresser I can quote you a lower price- call if interested. The tractor is not perfect; here are a few things I noticed since Ive owned the tractor. The worst part is a missing Serial Number Tag. These can still be obtained thru a John Deere Territory Manager with the proper engine block number(which this tractor still has) The"new" tag looks different than the original but bears the original serial number and is issued/installed by John Deere. The front left tire airs up but will leak down over time. The front axle has a weld on the center tube. Wiring will be needed; I replaced the switch in the dash but the regulator/generator/etc. needs reconnected. The battery does not go with the tractor as I only keep a couple good 6 volts around the place- you are welcome to drive the tractor around as much as you like here though. John Deere 420 W LP Tractor. 1958 420WLP. One of 100. S/N 126996. The earlier LP tractors did not have the"L" stamped on the tag. Including this one. Ive had the Two Cylinder Club research done from the John Deere Archives to confirm the tractor was factory shipped with and LP Gas Engine. This tractor is equipped with a five speed/live pto transmission. Has a tachometer and good spinout rear rims(no rust or calcium) The engine starts right up and runs good. Still has the original vaporizer unit on the tractor. Ive had new high pressure steel hydraulic lines made to run from the hydraulic pump to the three point unit(tractor currently has a rubber hydraulic line in their place) Transmission has a few issues. It needs opened up to have bearings replaced. The picture is not the best but if you are truly interested I can e-mail more ... morephotos. Include your e-mail address in the ask a question option. Loader is a quick detach type- pull several pins and the loader can be easily removed or mounted. Good Serial Number Tag on the tractor. I do not see any breaks or welds on the center axle tube. Three point raises/lowers fine(do not have the factory toplink) There is some play in the steering bushing under the steering wheel. Some rust is visible around the valve stems on the rear rims. John Deere 1A Crane Lift 3-Point Hitch Boom Here to sell at auction is a hard-to-find 1950's 3-Point hitch boom. This farm implement is called a John Deere 1A Crane Lift and it is matched equipment specifically made for the Dubuque tractors such as 320. 330, 420, 430 and 40. See the manual picture I found online that I attached. It's also listed in the John Deere 30 series book as a Matched Implement for the 330, 430. Of course, you could put it on any tractor with a 3 pt. hitch. This would be a great implement to add for shows, etc. on any of those model Dubuque tractors. The implement is about 6 1/2 feet high and just under 3' wide at the base. John Deere 420S Tractor. 1958 John Deere 420 Standard Two Cylinder Tractor. I was saving this as one of my"someday" tractors(as in I was going to restore it someday) but I am offering it for sale along with a couple others. It is a good overall tractor that starts. Runs, and drives great. Has nice/desirable options including Dual Touch O Matic Lift, Live PTO, Spinout Rear Rims, Factory Tachometer, and Front Weight. I have used the tractor for a number of jobs around the farm without problems. Currently a 4110 Cultivator is mounted on the tractor. The rear rims/tires on the tractor in the picture will be replaced with the original set(pictured by themselves) the original set have fluid in them(no damage/rust to the rims) and they were a little too heavy for the wet field I was cultivating earlier in the year.
