John Deere 720 730 special high speed 5th R20064R R20065R gear gears set RT2
John Deere special high speed 5th. Part numbers, R20064R and R20065R. See page 45-6 in both the Diesel and Gas parts book. One gear will go where your 1st gear is on the bottom shaft and the other gear will slide on the gear on the end of the top shaft. You do not need to pull the transmission apart to put these gears in, both gears go on the outside of the transmission case. This will make your 5th gear be 8 MPH. There are no chips. This set is excellent and ready to go in your 720 or 730. The upper gear had to be pulled off with a puller. There is some surface rust but it will not hurt anything. It will be hard to find a better set. We are parting out several 60s. 620s, 630s, 70s, 720s, and 730s, and will be listing some parts off of them as time allows.
