This hood also can be used on the 720 Gas but this hood does not have the knock out for the air stack This is good useable hood. With no repairs or filler. It is very honest and is good enough to bolt up as it is. One of the little bolt tabs on the inside of the hood is missing other then that there might be a few very small dents. John Deere Late 70 Gas. 720 Gas, 720 Electric Start Diesel Original Hood. Came off of a Late 70 Gas Tractor. This has the offset filler neck hole towards the front and off to the flywheel side. Pretty Decent Original Hood. It will need the most work on each side of the hood about in the same place on each side there are two areas about 5 inches long or so where the top panal meets the side panal there are some dents and dings pretty much mirrored images of each other on each side. Also on the flywheel side one of the gas tank mounting tabs is coming loose and starting to rust and crack through(see photo 11) There is No Other Rust Damage Anywhere. Rare Enough Hood that with a little work will be a Great Addition to your Restoration. Reproductions are not being made and Deere Certainly don't make them anymore. Don't Miss Out! Farmall / International Cub 1955 "No Hole" Hood / Gas Tank - Rare Hood
This is an overall nice hood. The wet areas on the hood that you see is from using WD-40 to remove the factory emblems(not included in the sale) It still has one of the original decals as seen in one of the pictures. It also shows to have a lead repair to the side of the hood in that picture with the decal. The repair must only be cosmetic because the lead is not seen from inside the gas tank. Once of the nuts for the head light post has broken and will need to be welded back on(original nut is included) Small pc missing below the nut that has come loose. See picture. 1941 JOHN DEERE B UNCUT FUEL HOOD and TANKS. This item is all original and has not been painted. It measures 57 5/8" at the longest point and 48" long on the sides- it is 11 1/2" at the tallest point. Has some dents cracks. And bends but nothing major. John Deere Original 630 Hood! This is as Close to a Mint Original As you Will Find. It has been repainted overtime. But there is Absolutely No Rust Through Damage, Perfectly Solid on the Top and Underneath Surfaces. All Fuel Tank Mounting Straps and Tabs are Perfectly Intact. None of the Bolt Mounting Holes are Cracked out or Enlarged. I would rate this hood a solid 9 out of 10 10 being perfect. I am only rating it a 9 because if you go over it with a magnifying glass you may find a small imperfection that will need finishing work and sanding. I think this is for an early 10-20 HP McCormick Deering Tractor exhaust side only. This is a very nice original barn fresh hood side from a collectors estate with traces of gray paint and original decal. It has the factory cut outs on the bottom side for the exhaust outlets. Great set for that original tractor missing a hood side. Hood side is 22 1/8" X 33 1/2" long. It has a couple of small dents.
