This head is ready to put on your tractor. The head has been magnafluxed(checked for cracks) and has no cracks. The bottom has been milled. The freeze plugs have been replaced. The manifold mating surface is in good condition. Both the valves and seats were ground. The valves were then lapped to the seats. There is very little wear on the valve stems and guides. This head has valve rotators on the exhaust valves. The springs are in good condition. The paint is excellent! I am selling this head with no reserve, so it sells to the highest bidder. For Sale Allis Chalmers D17 Turbo Puller. Has the original engine but has had chevy valves put in it and has been balanced. The engine is a 262 cubic inch, Turbo has been rebuilt and has only 2 hours on it, New tires all the way around. Has a turbo gauge. Pulls in the 4500 pound hot farm stock class. Has a great scatter blanket. Nothing runs off the engine. No alternator because I wanted more horse power so it only has the cooling fan and fuel pump running off the battery while running. It is electric start and can be started so many times before the battery needs charged that I can't count that high. The rear rims can have weights added to it because there have been weight brackets added. $500 deposit required after auction end. I can't paypal the entire amount due to paypal limits. Allis Chalmers D17 Series 1 Engine Block, Crank, and other parts. Puller Project
Allis Chalmers D17 Series 1 Gas engine block. Crankshaft, front cover, oil pan, flywheel, fan, oil pump, crank pulley, and few other small misc. pieces. Was going to build for pulling, but changed direction. Block is standard bore, crank is standard stroke, and main/rod journal sizes are standard. Engine has been apart for about a month. Cylinder bores look nice, some light surface rust beginning to show on the bare spots and crankshaft. Crank also has a little surface rust starting but cleans up easily. Journals seem ok. If you are going to rebuild id probably have them cut, but that's just me. Good flywheel. Great start to build a puller engine, or just rebuild for daily use again. Sold as/is as shown. Check out my!
