These are shorter than the standard A intake and muffler. They were ... moreinstalled by the previous owner when the tractor was restored. They are both high quality and heavy gauge steel with very nice welds. Back when they made quality stuff and not the cheesy reproductions that they offer now made of thin metal and crappy welds. The 15" air intake and muffler were used on the model AR. I found the mushroom type caps that were supposed to be on the AO and installed them. The muffler and air stack were only used a couple of months from the time of restoration to the time I pulled them off which was about 10 years ago. They are like new and the paint is still good. These look to have been new items when installed because they are absolutely clean with no pitting or rust. The only surface rust is around the mounting holes on the bottom side of the air stack where the paint came off during removal and from sitting on my shelf for so long. These can be used on an unstyled A. AO or AR if that's the look you are going for. No warranties and all sales are final so make sure this is what you need before bidding. I am listing them as pick up only but I have packed them in a box that measures 11 x 11 x 29 and weighs 12 lbs, my zip code is 21904 so you can calculate your shipping cost if you want me to ship it. John Deere Late Styled A Airstack Assembly. Came off of the 1948 A Tractor Shown. This has the 3 Bolt Casting Bracket to attach the Air Cleaner Canister. Very Nice Original Part. All of the Vent Openings are Nice and Straight and Not Dented or Bent. The Stack itself is Straight and Not Bent and No Dents. Perfect Cast Mounting Bracket with No Breaks or Welds. The only single flaw I could find is shown in photo 8. There is a small hole in the factory dent where the steering shaft passes by, its about the size of a babys fingernail and would easily repair with a small smear of epoxy and 5 minutes of sanding. Reproduction weld on stacks are $65 on up and don't look identical to this original. Repair your A with Genuine JD Parts. LID AND BASE. NO CENTER SECTION. I'M not certain what model Farmall this was from. As the ID tag was removed. This was from an injected Deisel powered engine with a gasoline starting system. THIS Stack Cover and Base Plate are a Bit on the Rough Side, but are solid pieces Needd restoration. The Overall daimeter is approx 7 1/2" The Base has some bent/dented inner edges. But nothing that will keep it from mounting to the Intake tube ID of Lower Tube Opening is approx 2 1/4" My guess would be that this was a Model M or MD.
