This carburetor is a good candidate for a rebuild and has been sitting on a barn shelf for decades. But is complete. This carburetor was originally fitting to 1941 through late 1947 John Deere“B” BO” and“BR” tractors with serial numbers starting at 96001 and ending at 200999. I lightly sandblasted the exterior of this carburetor to remove some of the accumulated rust. Dirt and cobwebs. The key word in that last sentence is“sand. as in there will be sand in this carburetor and it will need to be rebuilt or at least taken apart and cleaned before you try and run your tractor with it.

This rare tractor has a PTO(very rare) A large“cold weather” Magneto, All original Tin and Front Spokes. I worked with my local John Deere dealership and a local body shop to complete this total restoration. We even inspected the gearbox and found it in excellent condition. All of the metal was sand blasted and repainted with very little repair and no rust. The engine was completely gone through and is in“like New” condition. It starts easily(as easy as any two popper does) and runs great. Both fuel tanks are clean and function perfectly. The engine is started on gasoline and then once warned up it is switched to“tractor fuel” I have never worked it and it has only been driven ... morein parades. It has been entered in two large tractor shows here in Colorado and won 1 st. place both times. As you can see from the pictures the paint is excellent and the tires are new. I had a emergency shutoff installed which cuts off the magneto as a requirement to running is some parades. This tractor. Was purchased in 1941 by a farmer in Saskatchewan, Canada. He bought it directly from John Deere as there was no dealer in his area. He used it during WW2 to supply wheat to the US government for the war effort. When I bought it, it still had US Army Air Corps tires on it. I guess tires were hard to come by during the war. I purchased it from his Grandson. All of the parts including the tin and wheels are original. I believe this is one of, if not the nicest Pre War Model D in the world. I would be willing to deliver it for expenses. I really hate to sell it but I just haven’t been able to run it too much in the past few years and it needs to go to someone who can get it out for people to see more than I can. John Deere 1941 B Tractor Gas Tank and Hood
1941 JOHN DEERE B UNCUT FUEL HOOD and TANKS. This item is all original and has not been painted. It measures 57 5/8" at the longest point and 48" long on the sides- it is 11 1/2" at the tallest point. Has some dents cracks. And bends but nothing major. If you need more pictures or measurements just ask. I hope to get more pictures soon. Freight shipping only, BUYER pays and arranges freight shipping or picks up locally.
