When I turn it by hand it builds up and holds pressure. The cover is missing off of the electrical connection box on the motor as shown in the pictures. The tank capacity is not indicated but by the measurements it should be about a 75 gallon tank. The only thing I have done to it is to drain some water from the tank. It had a little ... moreover a gallon of water in it which was not rusty but had some oil in it as shown in the pictures. The oil level in the head is up to the full mark as shown in the picture of the indicator- this is how it was when I acquired it and I have not added any oil. Dayton 40 Gallon Speedaire Compressor. It still works. However I have noticed these 2 issues. The pressure release valve has a slow leak that you can hear, but the pressure stayed the same for over 20 minutes, and the On/Off switch is non-existence. It starts the moment you plug it in. The release valve could be fixed with a little time and the right seal. An On/Off switch could be added to the power line or the plug you use. I don't have the time or know how, so the price is low.
