Kaeser SM11 10HP Rotary Screw Air Compressor 230/460V 3 Phase - See Video!
For sale is a 1987 Kaeser SM 11. The compressor isn't perfect cosmetically. But that is expected from an older unit. It runs well and produces 42 cfm at 110 psi. It only has 30050 hours so it still has plenty of life left in it. It is currently wired for 460V, but can easily be switched to 230V. I can switch the wiring for the buyer. The oil looks clean, but I'm not sure when it was changed last. I would recommend changing the oil and filters within the next 1000 operating hours or so. The compressor is missing the panel for the electrical connections. A cover could easily be made if the buyer desires. The green indicator light doesn't appear to work. This doesn't affect performance and I'm sure the light could be fixed/replaced inexpensively. Please see the pictures and video to determine the condition for yourself. A power failure took out the motor and air end so the electric motor was rewound by Electric Motor Service of Shelby N.C. and a brand new air end was purchased from Atlas Copco and installed. This compressor is like new. The major components are new or reworked but the compressor itself only has 900 hours. The cabinet is a little dented on the back but other than that looks good. For sale is a Kaeser duplex aircenter made in 1997: 2 Kaeser SM11 compressors and a KRD075 refrigerated air dryer mounted on a tank. The compressors are 208V 3 phase. The dryer and control box are 110V single phase. The compressors have 34888 hours and 38741 hours. This system was bought brand new in 1997 and has been owned by the same person since. It has been serviced regularly. I have the records available. The oil and filters were just changed a few hours ago. I have some extra oil and filters I can include. Also included is the condensate management system CMS-150 oil water separator. There are also two Kaeser inline particulate filters mounted around back. 10HP Quincy air compressor - pressure lubricated
10HP Quincy industrial air compressor. Model 350 pump. Two stage. Cast iron construction. Pressure lubricated by an internal oil pump, with spin on automotive type oil filter. Designed for continuous operation if needed. Head unloaders for loadless start. It will deliver ABOUT 50 cfm@ 100 psi, 175 psi maximum. The pump is newer. ROC 104. The tank is labeled 1984, obviously the pump was replaced. This unit was used as a back up compressor for a wire forming shop and was well maintained. The belt guard has a few issues but is intact and serviceable. In good working order when removed from service but as always SOLD AS IS. This means there is no warranty. We built a heated, enclosed compressor room to help keep it clean, and ran semi-permanent air lines throughout the job site. The compressor received quarterly air filter and oil changes, along with a blowdown and wipe down and motor bearing lube as necessary, and the care shows. The last service was about two weeks before we pulled it out. I estimate about 1000 hours on it now, perhaps as much as 1500, while Quincy rates their ... morepumps for 50,000 hours(there is lots of life yet) The aftercooler gave us the driest air I've ever seen at a job site, no moisture or freeze-ups even on the coldest days. The automatic tank drain is the greatest: never any water build-up, and we didn't have to monitor or manually drain it. This allowed us to hold pressure at night, ready to work in the morning. This is a serious machine for a serious shop, and it will serve well- we certainly were never able to tax it. I do not have 3 phase in my permanent shop, and this compressor is bigger than anything I would ever use it for, so I am looking to sell it before it sits for an extended period of time. Up for auction. One used Champion reciprocating compressor. This was our backup compressor for the last few years. We rarely ever used it. Our primary compressor is a newer screw so I decided to let this one go. It runs as designed and if you know the types of issues related to these compressors then you know what you are getting. I would recommend who ever buys this also install a dryer. As with all reciprocating compressors. This unit puts out some moisture. It does run well. Powers right up and maintains 100+ psi easily. Shipping costs is the responsibility of the buyer. It is already mounted to a decent pallet so it is easy to move around. We will wrap it up better with some corrugated and stretch wrap for shipping.
