Up for sale is a Mac Tools 3/4 inch drive impact wrench. An AW156 TR. These are designed to work on a 3/8 hose. Not many 3/4 impacts are. With a 3/8 hose. I got about 750 ft pounds on the torque tester in forward and reverse was stronger! With the 1/2 inch hose 850 ft pounds. I test with 100 PSI at the wall. By the time it reaches the impact it maintains 90 PSI. This is a little different than most, well any, that I have ever seen as it has separate controls for each side. Could be you can get more torque out of it if you maneuver the two controls just right? I'm sure if you look hard enough you can find one cheaper but has it been tested on professional equipment and does it have a 30 DAY SATISFACTION GUARANTEE? This one does! On all 3/4 in impacts. The Max Torque is listed as 580 Ft Lbs with a much higher bolt breakaway torque. It has a show of use and performs well. It is tested to remove bolts torqued to 625 ft pounds. lightweight composite body. Hard hitting twin Hammers! This model as well as many other Craftsman impacts have ceramic balls as a silencing mechanism. They rattle when you move the impact this is normal and good. I have had bad feedback. Up for sale is a Ingersoll Rand 1/2 inch drive IR244 impact wrench. This model is about as tough as they get. Even the air fins are thicker and 12.00 more than a 231. Hard hitting twin hammers that just Don't seem to wear out. Strong in both forward and reverse although strongest in reverse as it should be. I test all my 244's to 500 in forward and 650 in reverse. I put in a new anvil as it had the 7/16 industrial one in it. Also changed the Torque selector O rings. as there was starting to show signs of wear. if you want pretty then look around. But if you want a strong impact that will last for many years to come, you have found it! I'm sure if you look hard enough you might find one cheaper but has it been tested on professional equipment and does it have a 30 day satisfaction guarantee? This one does! Up for sale is a Matco MT1759TH. Basically a Ingersoll Rand IR2131. But it looks better. One of their most popular 1/2 impacts. Composite body. Lightweight composite body. I tightened the torque tester nut a couple times to 550 ft pounds. And removed it once at 650 ft pounds. No problem. Stronger in reverse as any correctly working impact should be. This one is definitely stronger than average. I test with 100 PSI at the wall, by the time it reaches the impact it maintains 90 PSI. It is pretty good looking also. Up for sale is a Ingersoll Rand IR295. One of their best pistol ype 1 inch impacts. I tightened the 2 inch torque tester nut a couple times to 1450 ft pounds. Stronger in reverse as any correctly working impact should be. I test with 100 PSI at the wall, by the time it reaches the impact it maintains 90 PSI. It is not all beat up either! sure it has some scratches and wear but for one of these it looks pretty good. It has the ring style as well as the through pin socket retaining setup. For those not familiar with that. The sockets have holes through them and you put a pin through the holes in the socket and anvil and put an O ring it the socket groove. You will never lose a socket that way. Of course if you are changing sockets with any frequency the ring will hold them fine. As a matter of fact it's a little tight. A good thing!
