This is not a spectrum analyzer but I truly do not see much of a difference between a analyzer and a field strength analyzer it's even more sensitive at 117 dBm's has a built in frequency counter and can down load to a computer.It can demodulate SSB WFM NFM and AM frequencys built in speaker and headphone connector.not sure but I think a charge will last around 8 hours.I still can't figure out the difference between a spectrum analyzer and a signal strength analyzer it is also called a field strength analyzer.It weights about 3 to 4 pounds easy to carry.in the field.I've only used it twice I added my GRE super amplifier and it brought up the signal about 20 dBm's so that would be 137 dBm's that is pretty sensitive it easily picked up the noise floor.Model goes by other names like the Protek 3201 and the Sperry 3201 ... moreall the same devise.

The other silver dials move freely. I don't know if it is complete accurate working order. As I really don't understand what it is used for or how to test it. It is heavy. TED 5000 w/4 MTUs Display and filter
Untitled Document This auction is for a USED TED5000 with four MTUs and a wired in filter. It is only a few months old and in very good shape. We used it to chase down wasted energy in our house. With omne of the MTUs on the mains and using the other three sets of clamp-on current transformers on various other circuits we were able to chase down more than 300 watts of needlessly used energy. This auction also includes a wired in filter which is absolutely necessary to get reliable readings from the TED. Using the filter we had more than 98% delivery of packets from the MTUs to the gateway. Without it it was hopeless. The unit plus the filter sells for about $470.00. Using it for two months. The reported usage from the TED was within 1% of what we saw on our utility bill. Able to read very small changes in usage, we were able to look at chargers, ... morepower strips UPSs, etc. to determine what we needed and what we didn't. We found that our Air Conditioners were consuming as much as 50 watts, even when they werent used in the winter. The clamp on current sensors make it a snap to move the monitoring from circuit to circuit in your breaker panel and it can be used to monitor generators and/or solar for net energy production. If you are careful. This device will lead you to save enough energy to pay for it in about a year. Watching what your usage is will also teach you good habits. It is easy to install and easy to use. The only modification I made to the unit was to carefully splice all four power pigtails into one. The connections are soldered and insulated with heat shrink tubing. This was to neaten up the installation. You can read more about it and. There was no documentation supplied at the time of purchase. But all of it and installation videos can be found.
