Vintage Hubbard Creek Lake Denton, Texas Bass Club Fishing Trophy
Shipping only to USA 48 contiguous states. This listing is for a used vintage Bass trophy from Hubbard Creek Lake/ Denton. Texas Bass Club likely from the 1970's or earlier as a guess. It also reads" 1st place heaviest stringer" I would say it is in good to very good condition. It was found with other trophies, some of which were dated from the 1970's. The original price on the bottom of the trophy from a Denton sports store was $4.05, which seems cheap even for the 1970's. It stands about 12 inches tall to the top of the tail with the wood base being 3 1/4 x 3 inches. The base and top pieces are stained wood with the body of the trophy looking like polished extruded aluminum with a chrome like appearance that doesn't show well in the photos. The Bass on the top appears to be chrome plated diecast metal and is roughly ... more4 1/2 inches long. There is an emblem, possibly brass, on the front body of the trophy. The stamped metal award tag on the base easily slides out of the wood grooves( see photo) and could be replaced with a tag of your own. This came from an estate sale which featured some vintage fishing items. I don't know it's entire history( smoking. Pets, etc. and it is offered as is being perhaps a 40 year old used item. Buyer pays shipping/ handling. Which for this listing is $9.00 for USPS Priority Mail with standard delivery confirmation. Sears Roebuck 3.5HP outboard boat motor. Running! LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY.
Hello Ebayers. Lets start off with the year and model of this outboard motor. Well I'm not sure of the exact year. But I would say mid 1960's. It says clearly in the pictures"Sears Roebuck& co- USA in Canada. Simpsons- Sears Limited" I have video of me starting it up and shutting it off. then starting it again. I took the videos only a few days ago. If you would like to see them. Message me and I can send them through the email or text. Due to its size it MUST be pick up only near 60115. IL. I just got a new spark plug for it and put the correct mixture in the fuel and filled it up. Pulled a few times and it started up. The next 10 times I pulled it. It started on the FIRST pull. I am super surprised this motor could start up with minimal effort and on the first pull for being so old. It doesn't look like it burning ... moreoil and the only thing I can tell that's wrong with it is the paint is a little scratched up. I could spent 2 hours painting it and it would look brand new) It has screws on the side for the"tilt& trim" obviously manual) If you loosen them you can lift the motor up to about 60 degrees for when you are loading the boat onto the trailer or trying to get out of the weeds =P This probably weights 30 lbs or so. You could easily put it on one side of a Canoe or Kayak and put a counter weight on the other side and use it with ease. It doesn't have a neutral or reverse but it spins 360 degrees so you can move any direction with it(which is actually pretty nice I think) It has some pretty good thrust for a 3.5. You could probably get up to 7 knots(around 8.5 MPH) if you're in a lighter boat. Bottom line- 1. This is a great motor that has stood the test of time and doesn't look like its giving up anytime soon#2. A motor this light and small with some pretty good thrust. Well lets just say. They don't make em' like this anymore" 3. Full 360 degree turning creates a great deal of control. Even on other boats most motors only turn 65-75 degrees a
