For sale is a Kaeser ASD 40 S 40HP Direct Drive Rotary Screw Air Compressor. With Kaeser's one-to-one drive. The airend is directly connected to the motor via a maintenance-free coupling that eliminates transmission losses. Kaeser’s direct drive screw compressors deliver outstanding performance and increase energy savings. Kaeser uses oversized airends specifically selected to produce the required output in flow and pressure. Compared to compressors using small, high-speed, gear-driven airends, the one-to-one drive provides significant savings. This is a great machine that has been well-maintained since new. It is clean overall and it runs very cool. It is also very quiet. It should have many years of trouble-free life left in it! It had a new Sigma controller installed in January of 2012. The hours are currently showing 3073 run hours ... moreand 743 load hours. The compressor ran about 2000 hours a year. With about a quarter of those hours under load. So the hours on the compressor before the new Sigma display was installed were somewhere around 20,000 run hours and 5,000 load hours or so, next to nothing on a machine designed to go 100,000 hours before the airend bearings need to be serviced. Up for bid this evening is one gently used Quinct QGB-30. 30HP Rotary Screw Air compressor. Model number QGB-3000087 Serial UN084471 Date of manufacture 2007. This is a 200 voltge 3 phase machine. Less than 9.000 hours on it. As you can see from the service tag, it was serviced yearly. Whether it was 1,000 hours or 200. The QGB-30 generates about 120scfm of air at 125psi. Dimensions ar 63"L x 34"Wx47"H. Weight is 1.320 pounds. Shipped with the compressor at no extra charge is the Arrow desiccant air dryer pictured. It is sized for 100scfm@ 100psi and should give you a-40 dewpoint. It is a matched set so the dryer also has less than 9.000 on it. The units were too small and were replaced with larger ones. Here is the info on the unit: Ordered from Kobelco in 2001. Installed in September 2002 in a pharmaceutical company. We purchased because it was a pharma company that got purchased and was shutting down. But, because its pharma, they have strict maintenance requirements, etc. This unit was one of two. Tied together, so it ran 1/2 the time. The pharma company even calibrated the gauges on the machine, the last calibration was done in December of 2010! all 3 gauges) We purchased at the end of 2010. We thought it would be a spare unit. But we never installed it or used it. So, its been in our warehouse(inside, temp controlled, protected) for the ... morelast few years.
