This Ingersoll-Rand 285 B6 with 6" anvil is in excellent condition mechanically and cosmetically in A- condition. Aside from some scratched paint in a couple areas(see last few pics) it's practically a new gun. It's very rare to find more than a few of these 285B6's listed on eBay. It's even harder to find one in such great shape unless you buy it new. The 6" long anvil is a great feature of this gun. It allows you to reach virtually any lug nut without having to add an extension. This impact gun is an absolute beast! We never even had to add heat to remove a single nut! I bought it on Craigslist in almost the same condition for $480 less than 6 months ago. I've closed the mechanical portion of my business and no longer have use for an impact wrench of this size. I tightened the 2 inch torque tester nut a couple times to 1290+ ft pounds. Then loosened it.It showed POWER TO SPARE in reverse. Up for sale is a Ingersoll Rand IR258. This is one my favorite 3/4 impacts. Personally I prefer it to the IR259 that they make today. I put new hammer pins and a new cam in it. It works very well. I tightened the 2 inch torque tester nut a couple times to 1000 ft pounds. Then loosened it. It showed POWER TO SPARE in reverse. I tested this with 105 PSI at the wall. By the time it reaches the impact it maintains 90 PSI, or a hair higher. It has some scratches and scuffs but looks pretty good. See the pictures for the cosmetic condition. It has the ring style socket retainer. I'm sure you can find others but have they been tested on professional equipment and do they have a 30 day SATISFACTION GUARANTY? This one does! I replaced the air compressor connector fitting and reducer to test. It is not tight or sealed so you can change it if needed. I added a small amount of air tool oil prior to testing. The trigger works. The forward and reverse. Speed control knob works.

Up for sale is a Ingersoll Rand IR261. This is considered by many to be the standard for a affordable pistol type 3/4 inch impact. I tightened the 2 inch torque tester nut up to 1200 ft pounds. Then the tester broke. I tested this with 105 PSI at the wall, by the time it reaches the impact it maintains 90 PSI, or a hair higher. It is not all beat up either! It has scratches and wear. For one of these it looks fine. Comes with a new boot! See the pictures for the cosmetic condition. It has the ring style socket retainer. I'm sure you can find others but have they been tested on professional equipment and do they have a 30 day SATISFACTION GUARANTY? This one does! Not just the ones I sell, make sure you have the air supply needed to power them. With this model. For decent power I recommend at least an 80 gallon tank 1/2 air hose. Truck stop or industrial air setup is best. Most of the problems people report to me on impacts come down to this! They will work with a smaller system but not at their best.
