Up for sale is what I believe to be a Dickson Design 1 Minicorder. This item appears to record the psi of whatever line it is attached to. I believe this was utilized in the oil industry since it was purchased from Swan Specialties Company Oilfield Equipment as displayed on the sticker and it is on the wooden box as well. I believe this to be a Design 1 since the paper I found with it states so. This is a wind up unit and appears to be a 24 hour clock. The metal plate states the following: Range 0 to 100 psi. Chart 10, Serial#19893, Type 3, Clock 24 N Dickson Minicorder. I do not know if this item still works since I do not have a way of testing this unit. Also included in this lot are a few of the other items I found in the original wood box. There are 2 charts left in the box of charts, the paper describing the minicorder& 8 metal rings. ... moreI am not sure what the metal rings are used for other then reducing the flow through a pipe. There was an old steel pipe which was rusted inside of the wooden case which these fit on. The ring hole sizes are 1.25, 1, 0.75, 0.5, 0.375, 0.250, 0.125 and 0. The largest one also has the name Merla#129 stamped into it as well. There is some rust on these metal pieces as well. There is red ink which has stained the minicorder. We restored several cars for David Delainey. One of them a 1963 Buick Riviera, which is the"Buick" referred to on this card. I knew he worked for Enron, but he always told us he wasn't a big shot or anything so the collapse didn't really affect him. You can imagine my surprise when I heard he'd been arrested.I was driving home and almost wrecked my car! Anyhow. I found this business card in one of my books.evidently I was using it as a book marker. I would say it is at LEAST 14 years old, since I started at my job in 2000, and he brought in this card with the Riviera. Vintage desktop model of an oil rig pump jack that pumps up and down when turned on. This high quality oil industry executive gift was made by Oil Originals. Inc. of Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1981. The oil derrick is all metal construction in a gold/brass finish, mounted to a wooden walnut base. There's a push button near the back that turns on the oil derrick, which is powered by two C-batteries(not included) that fit in a compartment underneath. This oil rig stands 8.5" tall on a 9" by 5" base, and weighs 3 lbs. It's in great shape with no noticeable cracks or missing pieces, although one of the brass connector rods is slightly bent and looks like it has been replaced.
