Antique POWERS large round ornate 19th Century to Early 20th Century brass and copper THERMOSTAT. Measures 12 inches wide by 1 3/4 inches high. The Ornate grille appears to be made of antique brass plating on cast iron. The side of the casing in brass. The thermostat insides are solid copper! Please note there is some damage on the grille as you can see in the pictures. The casing side. Being thin brass, is slightly out of round, but it could be reshaped. Otherwise all the original finish is intact. As far as I can find out this style thermostat was introduced by Powers Regulator Co. in the late 1890's and was made into the early 1900's. There is a date stamp of 1910 and also 1911 on the label on the back. Very rare and seldom seen! Will carefully pack this to avoid damage in transit to you.
