Antique Cast Iron Lion Hot Water Heater on Demand Copper Coil Water Heater
Restored Hot Water on Demand Water Heater Height: 23 inch's. Weight: approximately 40 pounds Circumference: approximately 24 inch's I found this buried in a barn. It took a couple of days to get the door opened after soaking it with Blaster and using a 2 pound hammer it was rusted shut. Had it Sand Blasted primed and painted with Rust-Oleum Heat Resistant Coating. Temp. Range 300 to 1200 Degrees F. I cleaned and Flushed the inside of the copper tubing and added the acrylic enamel paint on the raised areas. Reassembled with stainless steel screws and nuts. The only parts that were changed out were the six screws. Nuts and brass type rivets that holds the name plate on. The only thing that I know is missing is the burner plate that sets inside the bottom to distribute the flame other than that it's ready to use again. Looks great ... morein any room. Hook it up to water and use it at the wet bar or connect it to a beer keg install tap outlet at the top. There were no leaks when filled with water and caped. Plummer said to flush it with bleach and then with bleach water then with tap water for 30 minutes continuously before using it for any type of beverages. I have not done the chlorine flush but I would also probably add a filter. Even though when i flush it with water only till it ran clear I did not see any particles with the naked eye. Nor did i fill a glass up with the water that ran through clear and let set to see if anything settled to the bottom. This is a good burner assembly and heater coil off an Elite model hot water pressure washer. The customer didn't need the hot water and didn't want to cart around the extra weight. The pressure rating of the washer was 4000psi and 5 gallon per minute. The burner is a 12 volt model and would need a step down transformer; like a model train transformer. If you want to operate this with 120 volts. Vintage ANTIQUE CENTRAL hot WATER HEATER Cleveland SMALL UNIT w/ COPPER COIL #30
This is for the piece you see here. CENTRAL WATER HEATER. 30. Very old appliance. Not sure just how old. But I assume well over 100 years old, but not sure. I cannot seem to find any others like this one anywhere. I do see other brands, and I see some referred to as SALESMAN SAMPLES, but I do not know. As far as I can tell, it is complete, with the possible exception of the exhaust stack on top. Not sure it is meant to have one or not. This is one cool collectible. I have no way to know if it works, but I assume it would if you were to hook it up. But I do not know. The tank is 17.5" tall, and with the plumbing, it is 24" I believe that the copper coils are all intact. Heavy cast aluminum piece. A beauty! Please look closely and ask whatever questions you may have.
