This is an auction for a Dayton"Tradesman Metal Cutting Bandsaw. The specifications are in the second image. I bought this saw back in the mid-1980's and it has been used in my home shop since then. The guy I bought it from said it wouldn't cut straight and so I went through it and made a couple of adjustments/modifications and now it cuts very straight. The saw retailed from Grainger Industrial Supply for $530.00(Stock No. 7Z408) back then before all the import knock-offs flooded the market. This saw weighs over 100 lbs. and so it is for local pick-up only. Payment is due at auction close. But the winner will be entitled to an inspection of the saw/money back satisfaction guarantee on pick-up. Also has flame hardened ways. I purchased a semi-load of these lathes from government surplus and sold to customers when I had a machine shop supply company. This bandsaw has no marking as to it's brand but is a typical chinese horizontal bandsaw with a 4 pole motor. 9" Swivel Head Bandsaw Trigger Switch& Control Box Hydraulic Down Feed; Auto Shut Off This bandsaw is being sold without a motor. The original motor was burned up. The bandsaw is used. It was tested with another motor(single phase) and it worked but the motor was a universal ac motor and we could not test the control box which was created for a 2 pole/ 4 pole selection on an induction motor. It was my intention and is my recommendation that the missing motor be replaced with one that can be varied as to it's speed.
