California"Hard Boiled" model aluminum hard hat for use in fields such as construction. Has an adjustable liner with a sweat band that appears to be made of a vinyl material. Liner can be removed for replacement. Hat is in very good condition showing normal usage wear. Same with liner. All rivets on the inside of the helmet to hold liner in place as still present and in very good condition. From Bullard web site- In 1938. Bullard designed and manufactured the first aluminum hard hat, which was considered very durable and reasonably lightweight for the time. Vintage Bullard 502 Fiberglass Hard Hat w/Suspension Liner Up for Your consideration is this SUPER NICE Bullard fiberglass Hard Hat. It has some minor scratches and scrapes on it but no chipping around the edge and no cracks at all. I rate it as being in VERY GOOD condition. It has what looks to be the original suspension but is missing the headband. The suspension is a little dirty but could easily be cleaned. The brackets in the hat are all fine. Vintage Aluminum Copper E.D.BULLARD Hard Boiled Hard Hat
This is a great vintage hard hat made by E. D. Bullard Co(Hard Boiled) This hat I believe is made from copper as it is copper in color. However the only other ones I see that are similar to it are made from aluminum. It is possible that this hat is aluminum and was painted a copper color however I don't think so simply because the coloring appears to go through when looking at any scuff marks on the hat. This is a used hat and as such there are some scuff marks throughout. Look at the pictures for a more detailed description. Also, on one side it says in black stencil" THIBAULT" There is the original rubber and nylon adjuster on the inside however someone replaced the string(that may have been missing) with a shoe lace. There is also the original sticker on the inside from the manufacturer. The sticker states that it is adjustable ... moreto fit a size 6 1/2 to a size 7 5/8. Nice. Old Bullard hard hat. This came from the home of an 82 year old woman, whose husband used this for- well, we're not sure! But it's probably from the 60's. Great, used condition. No cracks or chips, very minor scuffing on the very top, inside band quite clean and sturdy. They really made these well! The red tape was probably applied by the owner, and am not sure what the chevrons may stand for. The original paper label is still intact on the inside, as shown. I accept PayPal. Hi all you Ebayers out there. Today we have up for bids this cool vintage Hard Hat made by Bullard. I believe it is a rare model and color because I havent seen to many green ones like this on Ebay. There are actually two helmets being auctioned off here. One is the green one which is fiberglass and I believe to be a 502 or 503. The other one is a Hard Boiled type which is also made by Bullard but I do not know the Model number. Yellow in Color) This Yellow one I think is Plastic. The green one I am unsure of whether it is a 502 or 503 because it says( Hat Model 503 and Cap Model 502) These hats were both acquired from estate sales. The person who the green hat belonged too used to install Solar Panels in the Puget Sound and Tacoma areas so that is why there are the words Solar Electricity on it. These are kind of like a silver color and ... moreare adhered pretty well but could probably be removed if desired. I believe this Green Hard Hat can accomodate Head sizes of 6.5 to 8 inches. It is hard to tell because the sticker has worn away as you can see in the pictures above. The actual suspension was taken out of the Yellow one and put in the green one because the green ones suspension had been worn out and it broke. I had to modify the suspension a little bit to get it to work in the green one. Mainly because they have a different clip style. Overall the condition of the green one is good with no major cracks or damage It does have some light scratching and some normal wear and tear( This is to be expected however seeing as it is a vintage hard hat) It is not new but in pretty good used condition. It does work well and will serve its purpose or you can just use it as a display piece if you choose. Yellow one is in good overall condition does have the name Ed written on it and has some dirt decent condition tho. Here we have a great vintage Bullard pink hard boiled hard hat. The sticker on this hat reads"D.C. Electric Inc. Electrical Contractors Lowell. Mass. I haven't seen very many pink Bullard helmets. I have a feeling they're not so popular and are probably mostly wore by guys who forgot their hard hats at home and need to use the pink helmet of shame.
