This white Hard Boiled brand(made by Bullard) hard hat is from the 1960s and was lightly used. The material is what I would call a rigid plastic. The suspension liner is in excellent condition. Vintage American Made Bullard Hard Boiled Aluminum Safety Hat w Original Liner
Vintage Bullard Hard Boiled Aluminum Safety Hat"hard hat" with Original Liner. It has a few small dings on top. It is dirty I did not clean it. Liner is in great condition. In photos I show how the liner attaches to the inside of the hat. The liner is in perfect shape and all the metal attachment are good condition. The hat does not have paper tag inside. Steve is written on front in black pen that could be removed with some Goof Off or a de-greaser. This version of Bullard Hard Hat has six rivets used to hold the inner liner and three other slightly larger rivets maybe used to secure a miners light. It has three creases on top designed to add strength to the metal.

Up for bids here today is a vintage E.D. Bullard SF-USA Hard Boiled hard hat. This helmet is made of fiberglass and comes with the face shield and face shield apparatus as seen in the pictures above. Face shield is in pretty good condition along with the apparatus itself. I am not sure what the purpose of the face mask is besides keeping like sparks or something out of your eye. I wouldnt think that it is for welding but maybe I am wrong. I was thinking it might be more for like grinding metal or something. This Bullard hard hat is in very good condition and is still very clean and shiny. There are a few tiny spots but it shouldn’t be a deal breaker. The hatband inside will need replacing as the foam is toasted and crumbling. Any spots on the inside are just the foam dust. The spot on the back is just tape residue, the original suspension is fine, it has the old sticker and is a favorite of Ironworkers. Pictures don't do it justice. Questions welcome.
