I know that the chair is completely user serviceable but I honestly do not want to tackle it myself. This is a great deal for someone who does not want to pay full price and fix this up themselves. The only problem with this chair is the left 2 levers what make the chair recline, as you can see in the close up of the photo the metal wire is pulled out and pulling the lever simply does not pull the wire. The rest of the features of the chair work perfect and when raising and lowering the chair it is smooth and firm. Chair rolls perfectly and spins around perfectly smooth as well. The hand rest are in great shape with no scuffing. The lumbar support raises up and down just fine. the mesh is all in great condition with no rips etc. perfectly comfortable. These are"Basic Aerons" explanation to follow- and were relegated to board/waiting-room occasional use for several years: Eventually. They were"robbed" of some of their good parts- so that other chairs could prosper) and put into storage. As part of a clean up and recycle effort: We have replaced the seats and backs. Etc as needed, and installed New pneumatic lift cylinders to ensure a nice tight chair with no"wobble" then swapped around some arm cushions. And polished and touched-up as needed. They look great. Are fully functional, tested and guaranteed; and they're ready to roll another 15 years. The MESH on these chairs is Gray. Not Black: Herman Miller calls it ... moreNICKEL. The MFG color code is 3D03 The traditional Carbon Black color code is 3D01 The frame is the same"G1" Graphite found on the classic Carbon-Black-Meshed Aeron. The BASIC AERON is made of the same parts used in the"FULLY ADJUSTABLE" model. But a couple parts are"not included" and a few features are disabled. Specifically: Height control is the same. Lumbar support(not included) can be added to the back which is the same. Same seat. Same base and wheels. Tilt tension: the knob on the right is present in both models: it tensions the Big Spring which adjusts for the weight of the user and how much force is required to lean back in the chair. The Tilt LOCK is missing. However: this is the mechanism that Stops you from leaning back and keeps you upright regardless of posture or effort. Got it from a friend so I do not have the hand rest or the missing leg(rolling caster) There is damage on the seat the back of the seat and the 2 arms that hold it in the back got snapped off so it is safe to say the entire seat area needs to be replaced. I tested out the knobs and the hydraulic part that rises up and down and it works just fine I even sat on it and worked normal. The large back rest mesh is in perfect condition with no rips and the seat has a line in the middle where a line is cut. Also the foam that goes on the back center of the chair is missing. The hand rest looks like it is in good shape and can be adjusted up and down just fine. Graphite Gray Herman Miller Aeron Basic Office Desk Chair Size C
This is an armless adjustable Herman Miller Aeron chair in graphite gray. The mesh is in good shape. But there is some rub wear to the plastic. It's pictured so you can determine its condition. It is marked Herman Miller on the top of the back. I believe this a size C, large. Its measurements are 20 inches wide for the seat itself, the back piece itself measures 21 1/4" wide x 24" high and overall(as it currently sits) the chair measures 40 1/4 inches. Up for sale/auction is a genuine Herman Miller Aeron Chair. Size C(Large frame) left swing arm, frame support with pivot bolt. Very few cosmetic blemishes in my opinion. Includes arm and pivot bolt only- no adjustment cables, knobs or switches. Only what is pictured. Actual item for sale pictured. I believe it to be the graphite/blackish grey color. I will take $10 off if you buy this auction as well as my auction for the complete right arm. This would be great if you want to have a chair with no arm rests or if your frame has broken or worn to the point where a replacement would be prudent.
