A TESTED HP 400GL RMS VOLTMETER my reference#5. I checked the calibration on a few scales and it matched my other two units and the digital meter. See the test photos. 0.3V rms on the display and.29V on my digital voltmeter. It's easy and fun to use. I'm backing it up. With that being said the needle jumps around on all three units expecially right after you make a scale change. It settles down once you have the test voltage applied. It's tested and working. Providing a meter indication proportional to the dc heating power of the input waveform. Six-decade frequency coverage makes the 3400A extremely flexible for all audio and most rf measurements and permits the measurement of broadband noise and fast-rise pulse. Pulses and other non-sinusoids with crest factors(the ration of peak to rms) up to 10:1 can be measured full scale. Crest factor is inversely proportional to meter deflection, permitting up to 100:1 crest facto at 10% of full scale. Both physically and electrically. It has some very minor marks, barely noticeable. This meter has been used as an audio-frequency measurement instrument. The paint on the front panel is nearly flawless, and the control knobs and switch are in excellent, like-new condition. It hasn't been calibrated in some time, but the meter measures accurately on test voltages. All function ranges work well, and the meter itself is responsive. This is HP's"⅔" module. A polished-rail, cast-aluminum housing and baked enamel front panel. HP's chassis design was superb, and it protected the generally gold-plated circuit boards(most tropicalized for long-term durability) and premium components from flex movement, thus helping to insure the very long-term durability and reliability, tops in the electronics industry for many years. Up for auction i s this used HP Agilent 3400A RMS Voltmeter. This powers up. The commands respond correctly. No further testing was performed. There are some scratches and sticker residue. This will need a standard power cord.
