I have up for sale a Compair/Kellogg American single phase 10 Hp air compressor on a 120 gallon horizontal tank with new 1400lb caster wheels. I have installed a brand new Leeson 10 Hp single phase motor and have cleaned. Painted the compressor, drained and filled with new oil. The only thing you will need is a magnetic motor starter. I purchased this along with another 10 Hp Speedaire compressor in working condition from a shutdown plant with the thought of combining them in my garage. But due to my lack of size in the garage i have decided to sell them both and buy a dual pump compressor on one tank instead. The unit was hooked up and running in a dinosaur museum and used for preparation. Molding, and casting. Hour meter says it has only run 6,745 hours. The assets of that museum were transferred to another museum, and all items had to be moved. The new facility has no 3 phase power, so cannot use the unit. The unit was tested and it ran and produced air before it was removed from the building. However, a line was broken, and the compressor was shut down before it came up to pressure. It is thought to be in good working order, but there was no way to do any thorough testing. The compressor is estimated to weigh approximately 700 pounds. Local pickup preferred. The gas in it smells very old. So I didn't try to start it, but it has good compression and I can hear it producing air as I turn the crank. The air gauge on one of the tanks shows about 80 pounds, but nothing comes out of the valve when opened(no air fitting on the opening) so the gauge might be broken or there may be some other issue. I don't feel any play in the manual pressure release valve mounted on the other tank, which might be normal if there is no air in the tank, or it may need to be replaced. Not having any experience with these, I may be missing something else, so please take a look at the pictures and as any questions you have. It has some oxidation to some of the parts and other general wear from age and use. But in my opinion, it looks pretty good. So what I think I am selling is a compressor that needs a bit of work and maintenance. But is fundamentally good and I think worth the effort. As asset liquidators. Quincy QRDS-20 single stage 20 HP oilless air compressor from medical air system. Original system system model was QRD20SBN00011. The bare shaft compressor was replaced with a new unit in 2010. Estimated run time 2000 to 2500 hours. Normal life is 25,000 hours or more, so this compressor should give good service for a long time. System includes motor, base, drive sheaves, belts, belt guard, aftercooler, head temperature safeties, outlet check valve, and unloader valve. The compressor pumped a 240 gallon tank from zero to 100 PSI in 3 minutes, 20 seconds which calculates to an average pumping speed of 67 CFM. This is consistent with it's rated displacement. Will sell complete system, compressor with flywheel, or bare shaft compressor. Can supply head unloaders and possibly a motor starter panel if needed. Good for any oil free air need.
