Antique 1930's ? Metal Rotary Dial Tape Measure Desk Clock Made in the USA from
This is a very unique. Antique-1930's? I think, but not for sure of the exact age) clock. It is a tape measure style table/desk clock. This is from an estate that I purchased another from. I purchased 2. So, this is the last one because the other sold in a past auction. These were the first one's I had ever come across. I uploaded several pictures hoping you can tell more about it and the condition. It looks to be a metal material with a gray-ish/green?and yellow g old color/tone trim in places. I'm not sure how to set it or how it works. When I went to wind it on the bottom. It has been wound too tight and would not wind. I am not sure how to repair clocks but maybe someone will know. It does show some used in condition and wear including color wear and surface wear. There are scratches, and some discolorations including a small ... moresurface rusty color place on the top that you will hopefully see in a few of the photos. Streamline Steel Tape Measure This is an old 6 foot steel tape measure in a metal housing from the 1930's. One side reads; Streamline No. 406 Master Rule Mfg. Co. Inc. Made in U.S.A. along with a patent number dating this to 1935. It also reads; Inside Measure along the side and has a locking lever so you can pull the tape out and lock it in place. When the mechanism is released the tape can be push in gently. The steel tape is marked on both sides with 32nds on the top edge and 16ths on the bottom edge. The housing measures about 2" by 2" by 5/8" and the nickel finish is in fairly good condition with wear. The tape is in good ... morecondition with rub wear and a few dark areas of discoloration.
