Reclaimed Historical Antique Maple Flooring 7/8"X 3.5"X RL Square Edge Dirty Top
Very historical hard to find reclaimed Maple square edge flooring which is end matched and distressed. The flooring is 7/8 of an inch thick X 3.5 inches wide on the face with long random lenghts. 50% of the material is 14-16 footers. 30% is 9-13 feet long, and the balance is 3-8 feet long. The flooring was removed from the American Crayon Company in Sandusky, Ohio which merged with Western School Supplies in 1843. The material was taken out of a 1872 structure in the 225,000 square foot complex. The material is in outstanding condition with no oil,checking, cracking, or chips on the face. The flooring is dirty top and contains no varnish. The photos of the floor show the material with a washed surface and the photos depicting the long lenghts is in an undenailed state with no washed surface. N.Y. There is an enclosed letter. One page of writing on a single sheet of folded paper, written by Theodore Keeler. Although it's hard to read his surname there, he writes his name and address on the other side of the paper in a clearer script. The dateline is Toledo. O. March 27th, 1867. Vtg 50s Goodyear Wingfoot Midcentury Flooring Salesmans Sample Kit Linoleum
Vintage Goodyear vinyl flooring salesman's sample kit dating from the 1950's. Goodyear claimed that their floors never needed waxing. An arduous chore done on hands and knees. Sample flooring tiles are.080 thick and larger than most at 4 1/2" square. 23 tiles in many colors and in a mix of solid and marbled patterns. Goodyear made their flooring like they made their tires- in layers. Each tile has a color layer bonded to a black base. On the back a stamp identifies the color by number with the Goodyear wingfoot logo. Box is heavy card stock with metal reinforcing on side corners. Very good condition. Box shows wear as seen, and some tiles have a little light scratching from being taken out and put back in the box. An example of a little-known Goodyear product.

Found this tool on ebay with the handle broken. I contacted a Leister distributer to find out about a new handle. And they wanted $230 for a handle! I opted to rebuild it myself. I'm a flooring installer, not a welder, however, the repaired handle is completely functional and VERY STRONG! I've used it on a good number of jobs and it performed flawlessly. I'm selling this great tool due to a back injury- I can no longer handle the large roll goods. Tool comes with one grit blade for the safety floors and one carbide round toothed blade for linoleum.
