Tape Measure Vintage Antique Linen Reel 100 Feet Cool old collectible that works
Very old with 100F marking on reel. I did not pull it out very far due to its age but it reels back fine for what I tried. The very end of the linen ruler is tied in a knot. It was obviously used alot but it is not too bad for what looks like a 100 year old or more tool. Reel mechanism works fine. Diameter is 4.5 inches and it is a little more than an inch at its widest point. I've seen old tape measures sell anywhere from $20 to upwards of $300 but I'm letting the market decide on this. 1 penny minimum bid with no reserve! USA P&H is $5.95 and International P&H is $11.95. A nice old tape measure hand carved from a coquilla nut with a bon turn stem and pull on the tape. The tape is a linen cloth that still works pull out and turn top to roll in.Bottom has a small line from age to the nut. The carving and top has no chips or breaks a nice addition to your sewing item collection.

This is an early celluloid advertising tape measure. Circa early 1900's. It measures approx. 1 5/8" in diameter and is(1/4" thick. One side has a graphic image of the"SULTAN DAVENETTE" The other side has images of early furniture with"ERNEST J. SULTAN MFG. CO. In small lettering on the front is the maker's name"THE AMERICAN ART WORKS, COSHOCTON, O. The celluloid on both sides is very nice with no chips, cracks or crazing. On the backside(lettering side) there is some very light age toning to the surface at the left edge, bottom edge and right edge. This is very light, not prominent and almost not worth mentioning. A sewing tape measure with a patent date of 1917 printed on the edge of both faces and also pressed into the celluloid skirt along with the makers mark"P.N.Co" The art deco design is printed on celluloid on both sides. The"skirt" that connects the two sides is also celluloid. The type made with a grain to look like ivory(sometimes called French ivory) The cloth tape retracts easily and fully and has it's original pull. The tape is inscribed on one side with inch increments. One slight brown stain is visible in the photo on otherwise an excellent condition tape measure.

This is a vintage Enesco Rocking Chair Tape Measure combined with pin cushion. Large size it is glazed in brown with gold finish(the gold color has aged to a brown metallic) comes with a plastic thimble that was with it at the estate. The pins that were in the cushion. The measures retracts but is a little quirky and we do not advise pulling it past the 32 inch mark. A worn tip to one of the rocker feet(is that the word for it) but I do not see any other flaws apart from the temperamental tape measure. This cute little pig figural tape measure reads"THIS LITTLE PIGGIE/ WENT TO/ NEW YORK CITY" It must have been a give away or souvenir item. He stands only about 1 1/4" high X 2 1/2" snout to tail. There is a"V" notch in his left ear and it is such a perfect cut that I wonder if this was necessary to get it out of the mold. Looking at it with magnifying glass. It does not appear cut, but a part of the making. Otherwise, he is perfect. Tape does pull out and retract, but I only tried short pulls. Nine vintage New York tape measure. I am not sure if this is celluloid or paper covered with clear plastic but it is old. One side is the Empire State Building. The other the Statue of Liberty. It is made in Japan. That would put it after 1930. Priced to sell. Very reasonable. Others are selling this for double and triple the price! About 1 1/2" in dia. Nice condition. Colors strong and bright. No cracks. However, it is being sold as is. It is not perfect, it is vintage. Please review carefully. No returns.

The red felt top is padded for pins and set in the metal“iron” The handle is a nice old-fashioned wood. The tape measure is tucked away in back. The iron is 2-7/8” from front tip to back edge. It is 1-7/8” to the top rim with the handle adding another 1-½” to the total height. The tape pulls smoothly and retracts as it should. I pulled it out to 30” but was afraid to go any further. One side of the tape reads"FLAVOR ZONE" COOKING THE MODERN DUTCH OVEN METHOD" and features a colonial woman in front of a cooking hearth. The other side reads"Westinghouse"FLAVOR ZONE" ELECTRIC RANGE" and has a picture of the range. The edge rim reads"W.P. BUSHELL& CO. NEW YORK, N.Y. P.N. CO. CHGO. PAT. 7-10-1917 11-4-1919" and the edge is stamped"PAT 7-10-17 P.N. CO. The tape measures about 1 1/2" across and 1/2" tall. Frequently these old tapes will not retract. I have extended the tape to 47" inches. When released the tape quickly retracted to 1/4" After repeated(over 24) attempts of extending the tape ... moreto 20 inches or more. The tape retracts to less than 1/2" nearly every time the tape is released and allowed to retract on it's own. The couple times it did not retract all the way, it stopped at less than 1 inch and with a little finesse(an additional pull and release, or a gentle shake) the tape retracted to the length shown in the pictures. There is a mark on the tape at about the 46" mark. I assume it is an end of tape warning and the full length of the tape is 48" Great original condition. Shows minimal wear and rub to the celluloid.
