I've had this buried in storage for years. It's heavy; 67 pounds of steel and glass. the glass weighing 17 pounds. I've searched the internet and found references with archival data on WW2 US Navy 24 Inch searchlights with specific instructions on how to change these glass covers. I could not find another item like this after web searches and telephone calls. You can see the Bausch and Lomb next to the USN Anchor in a couple of photographs. The dome is rounded to almost 5 inches and the glass is about 3/8 inch thick. It fits tightly in it's padded carrier. The glass is perfect. And the box has some rust and scratches. If you win the bid, we will discuss shipping. This will be too heavy for USPS and I've found the other carriers to be very expensive. 3 GORGEOUS ANTIQUE BUTTONS that I believe are from the 1890's and are called GAY 90's for their bold design and flair! All 3 of these are grouped together because they do not have their shanks on the back. I'm not sure if they still have value but they certainly are beautiful. The largest one with the purple glass stone measures 1 3/4" in diameter. The steel cut button is 1 1/2" diameter and the smallest with the celluloid center is 1 1/4" They are so much nicer then my photos so bid with confidence. Original. Antique, Civil War era, straight temple spectacles- eyeglass frames, in hard, Tin case. Spectacles are steel with curlique'd bridge over the nose[made without nose pads] glass lenses. This auction features an antique pair of wire rim blue sunglasses or reading spectacles as they have no magnification. These eyeglasses have the original lenses. Screws and pins and the original patina. I am not sure what the metal is but they have a"bluing" like you would see ... moreon an antique gun or rifle of the same period so I think they are made of steel. They are in excellent used condition. The lenses only have a couple of tiny. Tiny, tiny faint scratches which you can only see under magnification. And when I looked at them under magnification you can see some very minuscule air bubbles in the glass which you would not normally see and do not obstruct your vision. As you can see the arms are naturally curved and even. Across the front they measure 4 1/4" wide. The arms measure 4 3/4" long not including the curve in the metal. Check out my! BeautifulSmall Vintage Glass Display Case Mirrored Back Steel Frame Shabby Brass Lots of oldees for you this week- some very cool and very old primitives. Fabulous retro industrial, wonderful original artwork, and even some deco thrown in- there’s something for everyone! Here is a fabulous small display case for your pretties! It's small enough to fit just about anywhere. Yet pretty enough to make a striking accent piece. Measuring 13 1/4" tall, it is 6 1/2" wide and 4" deep. It weighs just a smidge under 3 lbs. The Bottom, top, front door and two front sides are clear glass, and the"V" shaped 2 back walls are mirrored to reflect and make your displayed pieces stand out. You have the bottom as the first"shelf, and then two clear glass shelves above that, with 4" of height(with a little wiggle room) in ... morebetween the shelves. There's a little handle on the front and a latch that keeps the door closed. The hinges work great. The frame is steel, but it has a brass colored finish that is dark from age and shabby worn in some spots- don't get me wrong, it all WORKS- nothing that looks out of place. The case is raised up off of the ground by 3 bun feet- allowing the light to enter from the bottom too. It is in excellent condition- no chips, cracks or issues. Up for auction is a 58cm sized Bianchi Reparto Corse cyclocross frame and fork from 1996. Serial#58E70BC. Measurements for this frame are: ST = 56cm C-C. 58cm C-T, TT = 59cm C-C, HT = 151mm, OLD = 130mm, BB shell length = 70mm(with English threading! The matching fork has 190mm of steer tube left from the crown. With about 50mm of threading. The frame and fork are both in modestly good condition with multiple chips. Scrapes and dings to the paint. Some small points such as the BB threads have slight surface rust, but the insides of the bottom bracket shell and head tube are nearly rust free, as is the seat collar. In protest, the Steel Workers Organizing Committee(SWOC) of the Congress of Industrial Organizations(CIO) called a strike. On Memorial Day, hundreds of sympathizers ... moregathered at Sam's Place, headquarters of SWOC. As the crowd marched across the prairie towards the Republic Steel mill, a line of Chicago policeman blocked their path. When the foremost protestors argued their right to continue, a tree branch was tossed at the police lines[1] the police fired on the crowd. Independent Fabrications SSR Stainless Steel Frameset. Reynolds 953.
Up for bid is an Independent Fabrications SSR stainless steel road frameset built using Reynolds 953. I purchased this frame new from an IF dealer in Wisconsin in the Spring of 2011. I built it up later that year and rode it only a few times. In the early part of 2012 I sent it back to IF to have them paint it in the color it is now. Since that time it has been ridden only a handful of times. The only marks on the paint are at the dropouts and cannot be seen with wheels installed. The paint is stunning in person. I'm not one for using superlatives when describing a bike. But the ride of this frame is sublime. It is too large from me and I never ride it, so it's time to find a new home for it. Not sure but this may be Hardy's Gold Medal spey rod since it has the steel center core. Rod measures 16 feet assembled(using the longer tip) Circa 1910-20. Fine Antique Case XX 12" Professional-Quality Sharpening Steel! Original & NICE!

But due to health issues(Multiple Sclerosis) I have to allow for the occasional days when I'm not able to do much. Keep this in mind if trying to contact me as well. I will respond but at times it may take a bit longer. Offered for your consideration is a fine antique Case XX 12" professional-grade sharpening steel. This steel is just like the one the old town butcher had hanging next to the meat case. It's got that classic"Americana" kind of look and it's a fine steel all the way around. It be an outstanding piece for any Case XX display or collection. The steel has seen only light use and remains very nice with no problems or damage. ... moreIt has not been cleaned or buffed and remains original. This is a heavy-duty steel that was built to perform. Unlike the sharpening steels(which were usually under-sized and often fairly fragile) that usually came with carving sets. This steel was made for hard, heavy use. It's especially well-suited for maintaining the edge on carbon steel blades. The steel is over 1/2" in diameter at the base and it's free of any corrosion or pitting. The surfaces are also free of any nicks, dings, snags, or marring and blades glide smoothly from top to bottom. The steel guard remains completely solid and tight with no marring or damage. It shows very few of the tell-tale marks from sharpening. The handle is of turned hardwood and remains rock-solid. It retains probably 90% or so of its black finish and it's free of any cracks or chips with a few dings here and there as shown. Most of the dings and paint wear are actually from contact with the thick steel hanging ring. The eye hook remains solid and tight. The hanging ring is free of any bending or deformation and it's very sturdy. The steel measures just under 17-1/2" in overall length. Which is not including the eye
