His many patrons included the Boston Public Library, Harvard College, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Vasser College, Bowdoin College and many more. These have the more square shaped covers that you normally think of when you think of a covered PAF style pickup. While the earlier ones have a more rounded corner. Up for sale is an original set of McCarty bass and treble pickups from a'00 PRS McCarty. In the last month or so I've bought another(got an all original) 96 in McCarty Burst and a'00 in McCarty Faded Tobacco Burst, both with killer wide wavy tops. The recent'96 is getting a set of the brushed/etched 57/08 and the'00 is getting a set of the shiny nickel 59/09 pickups. As seen in the pictures they have a slightly aged tarnished appearance. They both have full wiring as they were un-soldered, not cut and you'll have ... moreplenty of slack. The white wire is for the coil splitting. This enameled plaque was produced by Virginia Metalcrafters for the 350th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown. The"Jamestown Exposition" in 1957(plaque#6-9, copyrighted 1956, see photo) It features the image of Captain John Smith who served as President of the new settlement of Virginia from 1607 to 1609. Unlike most pieces manufactured in brass by Virginia Metalcrafters. This example is in enameled cast iron and measures 3 5/8 inches wide by 4 3/4 inches long. The enamel is in very good to excellent condition on front and back with slight yellowing over the years. The tip of Smith's nose is white and shiny(enamel intact) probably from irresistable touching over the years.
