I typed through the keyboard in upper and lower case with no problem(see photo) all appears to be properly working and clean. The case is good and strong with some minor normal scuffs/wear marks but is a in good condition case. The finish has a nice shine and is in good condition with some marks on the edge of the top(see photo) but beyond that appears to be in very nice clean condition. It has probably sat for awhile and some minor lubrication and possibly minor adjustments may be needed if you aren't familiar with the machine a normal bench service should do it. A large and outstanding basket bowl with a superb English Family crest inside the center of the bowl. It is Latin saying Festina Lente which in English is"more haste less speed" which is an oxymoron but belonging none the less to a well off English family who once owned this. Great crest and I am sure can easily be researched. Cosomo Medici had the same moniker as did other very important family's throughout history. This may be very important. The M date letter looks very much like 1787 and if anyone else differs please let me know because the mark looks old and the other would be 1827. But the I S Ending within oval appears to ... morebe John Smith of London which corresponds with the rest. This huge basket bowl is just huge measuring 14 3/4" long 10 1/4" and stands 5" tall. Great swept body and fine roundels all over the rim. The beadwork is large and well done. Same with the handle. This weighs an amazing 1200 grams or 42.5 standard ounces of solid sterling silver. Superb footed pieces here with great design. Decent condition with some bumps and bruises inside and a bottom area a little out of round but easily fixed in my opinion to original form as this is all fine sterling and can be worked. No reserve.
