I don't know what the use of this was. Its heavy weighs about 1lb 10oz. The steel is 3/4 inch thick.The arrow is about 2 3/8 inches long. It looks to me like it was hand carved out somehow. I'm thinking maybe blacksmith made. Maybe it was for leather stamping or metal i have no idea. Not sure its for hand hammering or fit into some kind of machine or anvil.

VINTAGE SMITH CORONA SILENT- SUPER PORTABLE MANUAL TYPEWRITER WITH ORIGINAL CASE
In very clean condition but not in full working order. The carriage pull string appears to be disconnected This may have something to do with the keys being very difficult to depress. I am not a typewriter expert. So I'm not sure. The linkage to one of the keys appears to be bent. I have tried to show these things in the photos. My camera refused to focus well on the wheel that the carraige pull-string attaches to, however. The case appears to have a few spots of brown paint on it but otherwise in good condition. Here is the story. I just came across a huge lot of holsters and leather for making them, some complete some in need of completion, some just need a little. I will be posting all this stuff in the next couple weeks. I have enough leather to fill probably 6 square yards. and boxes of holster parts. This is made in the Hoyt Coupeville.WA facility. in the USA Now this is for what you see in the picture. I am not a big gun person so I will describe this the best I can. this is for a S&W model 37 and 637 models. they are 38's. This is a nice old police holster. It is in as good condition as it could be. this is excellent. I'm sure this holster is universal to many guns just I do not know which ones. it says on it that it is for the 37 2. The holster part of this measures 3 7/8" wide X 5" tall. I suppose basically it will ... morehold for a revolver with a 2" barrel. Birmingham. 27th June, 1936" This wooden mantel clock has a veneered exterior and chrome decoration on the front. Made in England by Smith(Smith Electric" is printed on the face) All-metal face. the surround and bezel are chrome but the face itself is slightly brassy-looking. The handles are also metal and the face cover is domed glass. The hinged back panel opens to reveal the mysteries within. the bakelite housing ... morefor the electric motor. Stamped with the SEC trade mark and the maker's name"Smith's English Clocks Ltd. Cricklewood, London" Also stamped"Synchromous Electric Clocks Ltd. Other information. Made under one or more Eng. The woodwork has been wiped over but there are still some slightly grubby patches. The veneer on the face is full of fine cracks but has not lifted. There is wear to the wood around the base. Some surface scratches all over. The chrome on the bezel is pitted in places, and rough, and there is a patch of green verdigris on the chrome surround(the chrome on the fittings may be plated over copper) There is a blob of white paint on the back of the clock.
