With the box number being"AF1853" indicating it as made in France. This pair was made in France and has an early gold"adidas" mark only on tongue and"la marque aux trois bandes" the brand with the three stripes" Stan Smith text and Adidas trefoil logo appear on the back of the shoe. Inner sole has printed pattern consisting of the text"adidas" and the trefoil logo. Shows some glue discoloration at certain seams due to age as shown in photos. Tongue shows creases from storage. Antique Womens Booties 1890s Fancy Leather& Fabric Lace Up Shoes Aaron F Smith unique women's short boots circa late Victorian or early Edwardian era made by Aaron F. Smith of Lynn. Mass, I was able to google patents granted to him in 1885& 1887& his store ad printed in 1900 in a professional journal but there was no later info, soft dark brown& black leather with dark brown fabric with shiny copper color embroidery pointy toes lined inside with soft tan cloth, lace up fronts with original brown laces& 12 pairs of metal eyes, leather soles& stacked heels, Size is stamped 5C BUT sizes from that error are very unreliable. These are VERY NARROW so if you plan to wear them PLEASE check the measurements carefull outside heel to toe is 10 1/2" BUT with pointy toe inside is about 9 1/2" instep at sole 2 3/4" ... moreheel height at back 1 1/4" boot height from sole to top is 7 1/2" Condition: These are in very good condition for their age with no major issues. The leather is soft. The fabric is bright& the soles/ heels have almost no wear. BUT* There is some fading& scuffing to the leather, there is staining to the underside of the tongues of both shoes, there is a tiny circular defect on the toe of the right shoe. It does not extend all the way through the leather& would probably cover with polish the shoelace on the left shoe is damaged& shortened so that shoe will NOT lace all the way to the top, All items are sold AS IS so please ask any questions prior to purchase. Antique Vintage Mid 1920's L.C. Smith & Corona Portable Typewriter with case
This is an incredible find- a circa mid 1920's antique L.C. Smith& Corona Portable Typewriter complete with original carrying case! Typewriter measures approx 11.5" x 11.5" Original case measures appro 13.25 x 12 x 4.75" Together both weigh nearly 13 pounds. Typewriter is mounted into case to make it portable. L.C. Smith& Corona Typewriters. Inc. is beautifully painted in gold on front. Not sure exactly what year. But as L.C. Smith& Bros. merged with Corona Typewriter Company in 1925 to become"L.C. Smith Bros. Corona Typewriters, Inc. I know that this typewriter is from at least 1925. All keys including spacebar. Backspace, shift, shift lock appear to be in working order(a few keys do stick but that's common with antique typewriters- just needs some cleaning and care) Carriage return and bell works ... moreperfectly as well. Overall, machine is nice and clean for its age- not rusted out- all keys appear to be original- even comes with ribbon. Just needs really thorough dusting, cleaning. Outer storage case locks perfectly but its worn as you can see from the listing photos. Overall a wonderful piece for display or full restoration. Amazing machine from a by gone era! Smith Glass Company in the“ Quintec” pattern. Shows maker's mark of"SGC" on the bottom. This pattern was originally made as an Early American Pressed Glass(EAPG) pattern in the early 1900s by McKee Glass Company as part of their Tec and PRESCUT Lines. The L.E. Smith Company acquired the old McKee molds. Producing the pattern throughout the 1950s-1960s. The pattern consists of hobstar and cane panels alternating with fine point panel- also consists of buttons. Zippers, and diamonds. A two-page Civil War letter written by Sergeant Irving D. Smith of the New York 17th Infantry. Dated December 4th, 1861. A pencil note at the top of the letter indicates that Smith was writing from Alexandria, Virginia, which is indeed where the 17th was stationed at the time(see the history below) Smith's letter is addressed to a"Mr. Beck, or so it appears. A few excerpts: In the first place it is colder than damnation here. In the second place it is still growing colder. And from morning till night it is nothing but drill. I should think that we had been drilling long enough to be let up a little but they can't see it. Thare has been quite a number of troops marching by here for a few days past. I should judge that we were a going to have a fight soon. All original plate this pitcher is adorned with heavily embossed florals and scallops. There are however after 146 years some issues.tiny nicks around the ruffle at the top, light scratching, 3 small dents,plate loss in some places, and a 1 inch crack at the bottom where it meets the base. Greetings PEDAL-FOLK! Here is a rare bird. This is a near obsolete original. Of a"holy grail" bicycle publication. CYCLING ART. ENERGY, AND LOCOMOTION: A series of remarks on the development of bicycles. Tricycles, and man-motor carriages. Please note. There are photo-copy renditions available here on Flea-Bay for next to nothing, if you are simply interested in some of the contents. There are NO original copies not only in circulation/for sale. But in known collections worldwide. This includes historical libraries, museums, historical societies, and private collections. If you love/collect bicycles, like to have rare stuff that nobody else has, then this may fit the bill. PROVENANCE: The provenance here is another fun aspect. And no doubt adds to it's already significant value. The original accession number is seen in a couple ... moreof places. This book was only an in-house reference book. It was donated/presented to the Long Island Historical Society/Institute Free Library in 1898, by A.O. Smith, a major player/pioneer in the development within the bicycle industry and automobile. C.J. Smith company(A.O.s father) made the majority of bicycle frames in this country through the mid 1890's. A.O. Smith developed the first stamped automobile frames and eventually The Smith Motor Car and bike attachment. the Smith Motor Wheel. not to mention 90% of all water heaters that have ever been made and the namesake still lives on.who doesn't like hot water) D Lots of archival material on A.O. Vintage 1972 blue with black keys Smith Corona 120 portable electric typewriter with hard case. This item appears to have seen little use. Looks to me to be in exceptional condition. Metal components retain nice blue paint and no wear on the keys. Even the brown hard case shows little to no sue although is a bit dusty on the outside. We even found the key inside the case! Tested, it does work although the ribbon is understandably dry. None of the keys stick and the space bar works. It makes a little noise when running, nothing horrible. I am not an expert on these nor have I had one before so this may be normal but felt it should be mentioned. This listing is for 5 fruit/ dessert bowls. These bowls are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The motif and platinum trim are in great shape as you can see in the pictures. Very gently used with few utensil marks showing. Except for one that has a couple of scratches. There are also some crazing on some of these bowls(about 3 of them) The crazing and the utensil marks are seen more under a light and to an angle. Each bowl measures about 5 3/8" across the top. They are made in the USA. This pattern is over 60 years old. They were made around the middle of the last century. There are 5 more of these bowls available. Vintage shop smith lathe & saw blade parts & accesories arbor center wrench
for auction are these vintage shop smith saw blades saw blade arbors Drill chuck tail stock center and arbor center. The diameter of the saw arbors is 5/8' The Drill chuck is a Jacobs chuck. It is a 5/64' to 1/2' capacity. It comes with the key and is in good working order. The saw blades are not marked shop smith. However they were both mounted to the arbors when I found them. They are used, but they are sharp. The lathe centers are in good little used condition. Also with this auction are three push sticks. they are used and 1 shows some damage.
