This is a very lightly used PRS SE Single Cut 245. I purchased this new just under a year ago from Sweetwater. It's a fantastic guitar but I have a Les Paul so this doesn't see much play time. Plus I have my eye on a 7 string. Guitar is in mint condition. Has a 3/4" maple top with natural binding as can be seen in the pics. Mahogany body and neck with a beautiful cherry sunburst finish. Guitar has no nicks or scuffs. It looks brand new and still has the plastic covers on the backplates. PRS introduced their Classic Electric model in 1989 and it has remained a favorite of both live and studio guitarist ever since. The CE features their famous maple top/mahogany back body and a bolt on maple neck which gives it a slightly brighter sound from the typical set neck Custom. Due to rising production costs. PRS had to discontinue the CE but you will still still see them in the hands of serious guitar players all over. This is a Tonal monster, big fat humbucker sound with plenty of bite. This guitar shows signs of play. it has its share of nicks and battle scars but plays and looks great. There is some buckle rash on the back but not terrible. The frets have some wear but have good life on them. The action is superior, the neck is amazing. The BIRDS that you see on the neck are just DECALS that you could leave on or remove if you ... moreprefer but once you remove them they may not stick anymore. They will not leave any residue if you remove them. These early PRS models are very collectable and will always have some $$ value for years to come. They are now being produced in factories now so the new models just don't have that personal touch. So why am I selling you ask? Well I've accumulated many of these PRS guitars over the years and just can't play them all and would prefer to have someone enjoy it as much as I have. This is a working mans guitar and would be a great addition to anyone's arsenal. I've described this guitar to the best of my ability. Everyone's opinion differs.
