This is a rare and desirable 1920's tinplate London bus by Smith and Cavey( Minerva series) It is 81/4 inches long( 21 cms) It is all complete and original and was never supplied with a mechanism. The main lithography with the adverts and people is in reasonably good condition but the painted roof has spots of light rust and paint loss. The pictures give an accurate indication of condition. VTG LE Smith Glass Amber Moon & Stars Footed Swung Vase 12 1/4" Tall Exc Cond
Here I have a beautiful heavy. Footed L. E. Smith Glass"Moon& Stars" molded swung vase. The color is rich, the designs are cut heavily into the glass, the 9 tips make the vase as high as 12 1/4" In the sunlight this vase sparkles warm and comforting like sunshine. Perfect gift idea for someone with the blues, or anyone who loves beautiful vintage charm. A soft rolling peaked edge on top. Reminds me of a fancy ruffled collar. The base is molded, star designs with a diamond shape above followed by a"lace" border. Then there is a horizontal ribbing, 1 1/4" tall. Next is the bulbous base of the vase with moon and stars pressed into the glass. Next up the vase is where the glass blower took the piece by hand and stretched the top to make this great free form design. Colors seem to change with the lighting in the ... moreroom, goes from golden warm to an orange brown. Very pretty, can you see this vase filled with beautiful colored flowers? I sure can. Stands at 12 1/4" tall. 5 1/4" across the top, 4" across the base, and 9" deep. Pre packaged weight is 1 pound 11 1/2 ounces. There are a few flea bites found by feeling the piece, with the loop these appear to be bites from an overage of glass from the seam lines. These could easily be smoothed with an Emory Board an old friend taught me. I see no makers mark, makers back then didn't always mark their items, sometimes they had a sticker or a tag on a string. 1958 calendar plate made by Taylor Smith Taylor in the USA. It is an off white with the gold calendar and gold design around the rim. It is a nice collector piece! It is in very good condition. The only thing I can find is a very small flea bite chip on the bottom of the plate and another very small chip on the underside of the rim.which is hard to see! The front of the plate is beautiful! This is a used Pastoral cup by Taylor Smith and Taylor. Due to previous use there is crazing on this cup and on the inside of the cup there is stained crazing lines. This is a used Pastoral Bowl by Taylor Smith and Taylor. There are a couple chips on the bottom side of the rim. Both can be seen from the top of the bowl(one more than the other) There is a small black mark toward the rim of the bowl. The picture on the bottom inside of the bowl is very nice and in tact. Around the rim of the bowl is a flower type pattern. The bottom of bowl is stamped Pastoral Taylor Smith and Taylor. It is faded and hard to see. I tried to capture all details in the pictures. Up for auction is a lot of 8 Currier and Ives dishes. There is one bowl that measures 7 3/8" across. It has a crack in the glaze on the underneath side in the circle. There are 3 salad plates that measure 6 3/4" across. These plates are perfect with no cracks. Chips or crazing. It is marked with the usual TST mark and the numbers, 3 37 2" indicating that this piece was made in March of 1937. This platter is made in the Vogue line(or shape) but the decorative pattern is apparently unnamed. This is a nominal 12 inch platter which actually measures about 11-3/4 long. This piece appears to be in excellent used condition. With no signs of damage and only minimal usage wear.
