Here is a nice vintage English fishing item. It is an original early Albert Smith Envelope containing six original hook packets and are in unopend and unused condition(see clear picture to decide before bidding) It's a very early packet and has the original six hook packet inners which some are corroded a bit through storage. They are the original Dominion Works marked packet and is about as good as you can get for something thi old. It's all original as I found 3 other packets identical and all are the same. Never seen the light of day for all these years. Found in a very old Tackle Box. These are not often seen for sale and highly collectable. Offered is this set of four antique prints of Confederate generals. Gen. A. P. Hill, Gen. Hood, Lt. Gen. Kirby Smith and Lt. Gen. R. S. Ewell. I am not positive but I believe these have been taken from the book“Southern Generals. Who They Are and What They Have Done” written by William Parker Snow and published by C. B. Richardson in 1865. Each print is captioned“O’Neill NY” possibly the illustrator? In addition to the“O’Neill” caption. The illustration of Gen. A. P. Hill also states it is“from a photograph taken from life” The prints measure approx. 9” by 5 3/4” and are printed on heavy paper. The right edges(where they were bound to the book) are slightly ragged. But there are no holes or tears. There is some“foxing” As seen in the photos. The pieces in this set include: 6 dinner forks- 7 1/2" long-6 Gumbo/ round soup spoons- 7 1/8" long. ... more1 Spoon has a small pit in the bowl. 6 Tablespoons/serving spoons- 8 1/4" long. These have a couple of faint shadowy spots in the bowls. Only visible when tilted just so. Good shine-6 Teaspoons- 6" long-6 Dinner Knives- 9 5/8" long. These have blunt silverplate blades and silverplate handles. 1 has small pit on blade. 2 have a deeper scratch. 4 have VERY minor roughness on the tip of the blade. They really look quite nice. Gravy Ladle- 7" long-Meat Serving Fork- 7 5/8" The pieces. Except for the knives, are marked, Pat'07" and have the EHH Smith mark with a sideways triangle, S" sideways triangle. One set is etched with NSO and the other with the initials ILR. The third pair does not have any etching on them although all three have some scuffing from use.
