2 H.E. Harris Stamp Albums US Freedom Album and Explorer World-Wide Postage Stam
This auction is for 2 H.E. Harris Collectors Stamp Albums. Between both books there are 1465 stamps from all over. These books came from an estate buy. The books are in poor condition but the stamps are in good condition. Both albums are dated from 1978. The World-Wide album has writing on the front cover. Some page ends are yellow. Some of the stamps are not attached. Nor has some of the stamps been used(no markings on them) There are 4 pages in the back of this book Flags of the World(completely full) and The Coats of Arms(there is one stamp Ireland that is missing) There are 620 stamps in this book. The Freedom stamp album of the United States is also in poor condition for the most part the stamps are in good condition. The inside cover has State Flags of the United States from 1819 to 1890 and is full. There are a total of 845 stamps ... morein this book. The last 2 pages have the Presidents of the United States starting with George Washington and ending with Jimmy Carter(1789 to 1977) There is also a Presidents seal of the United States. There are also some stamps in this book that look like they were attached with silly putty or gum(could be something else not sure and not many are attached this way) There is some writing in this book as whoever owned it wrote some dates of some stamps under the stamps. I do not know about stamps and do can not tell what the worth is. I think these books are for collectors. Please ask any questions before bidding if you would like more pictures. Selling my super rare 1917( the only reference to a date of publication is on page 5 where it refers to 70 yrs experience in building plows and on the cover it states' Makers of good farm implements since 1847) Massey-Harris 102 page catalogue featuring the range of products available at the time including plenty of pictures and accompanying usage guidance for each product. Equipment includes plows. Hoes,scufflers, harrows, cultivators, planters, drills,mowers, rakes, binders, reaper-threshers, motors and cream separators etc etc. The book is a soft cover and is in very good condition aside from some nibbling to the top and bottom of the rear cover and spine, and a small brown stain to the top of most of the pages. There are some small pencilled notes on half a dozen pages which I think may be references to the price of the particular ... morepiece of equipment. I can't imagine another one of these catalogues appearing for sale any time soon. I believe this pinback button is from either the 1972 or 1976 Presidential campaign. The button is in gently used condition. With a clean, nearly rust-free reverse. There are a few light surface scratches on the front, but overall, a very nice button. There is a Union bug on the curl. Letter from Synchronome to Harris D. Rush. Esq. 257 Orchard Street, Westfield, New Jersey. Letter is wrinkled on the top left side, paper clip stain on bottom left. Crease for being folded. Letter mailed on September 16, 1938. Our Ref. EDT/LA. Address of 32& 34 Clerkenwell Road, London, E.C.1 is marked through with red, and printed around it, also in red, is: Abbey Electric Clock Works, Woodside Place Mount Pleasant, Alperton, Middlesex. Letter says: Dear Sir. We are receipt of your letter of the 7th instant. Enclosing draft for five shilling(an"s" is written after"shilling" in pen) being balance due, for which we thank you. Synchronome letter to Mr. Harris D. Rush. The Clock Shop, 1714, Boulevard, Westfield, New Jersey. Watermark: Devon Valley Parchment. February 3, 1953. Letter addresses what appears to be a late shipment. Mentions that the order was to ship"on the American Flyer sailing to-morrow, the 4th instant. The rest of the letter appears to be an apology from F. W. Burgess(signed)

Synchronome - 2 Letters to Harris D. Rush, (notes, env., etc.), stapled together
Synchronome reply letter from the Managing Director. Dated October 21, 1952& October 9, 1952(legal sized page 2) on thin paper, beautiful letterhead, 2 Memorandum of Cheque, Mr. Rush's monetary notes and envelope from Synchronome, stapled together. First letter is about an order of clock parts. Bottom of second letter: We may say that as a matter of interest owing to our being very fully occupied on work other than clock work at the present time we have discontinued the supply of parts to amateur constructors. But of course we should go gout of our way to supply an old friend such as yourself. We do however sincerely regret that owing to circumstances we cannot supply finished parts. Synchronome blueprint, Masterclock & #2 Seconds Switch, w/Harris Rush notes
Synchronome blueprint. Masterclock& No 2 Seconds Switch, The Synchronome Co. LTD, Alperton, Middx. Scale: 1/1, Dwg No 9614, with hand written notes(pencil) written either by Synchronome or possibly Harris Rush, esq. owner of the Clock Shop in Westfield, New Jersey. Harris Rush was fascinated with Synchronome clocks, possibly as early as the 1920's, maybe as a result of reading the magazine, Model Engineer. The Westfield Leader. In Westfield, New Jersey, reported February 19, 1948, Rush Completes Unusual Clock" and"To Exhibit Synchronome Instrument At Shop. The news article goes on to describe an improvement Mr. Rush made to a Synchronome clock, with the permission of Frank Hope-Jones. I'm guessing the penciled notes on this blueprint may have something to do with the improvements made by Mr. Rush, but I'm not sure.
