Lexel 95-4 Argon Ion Laser& Power Supply For sale- a Lexel 95 Argon Ion Laser and Power Supply. I initially passed on buying this because I already have too many big ion lasers. Including several Lexel 95 variants. But I guess the original buyer didn’t pick it up in a timely manner so it was offered again. What got me interested the second time around was that I had a chance to open it up and found that it was a 95-4 and that the timer was only showing about 2100 hours. I had a 95-4 awhile back and it sold pretty quickly(something I cannot say for the 95-2 I have listed already) So I thought I would take a chance on it after all. So I bought it in spite of the surplus info which indicated it wasn’t working. I offer that in the spirit of full disclosure. Obviously I could have omitted that bit of information, maybe even added something ... moreridiculous like it came from a working environment. I had expected to open it up and find it had 5000 hours and I would have passed on it a second time. But with reasonably low hours on it I decided to ignore the seller’s condition statement. This came from a large well funded university. My experience has been that sometimes they say something is in great shape and I get it home and it won’t even come on. And then I buy something from them that isn’t working and it works just fine. In the latter case I suspect that it simply is easier to say something doesn’t work if you just want something newer. Nicer, better, particularly if both the old and new piece are expensive. Let me note that both my personal flat panel monitor and HP LaserJet printer that I am currently using had condition codes indicating they needed repair. But no repairs were necessary. So maybe you get lucky. Maybe with 3 phase power(that I don’t have) The right coolant flow, and maybe a purge gas you can fire the thing right up and go to work. Maybe not. Prior to bidding it occurred to me that if in fact it wasn’t working that might be a power supply issue. Possibly an easy fix. So I opened up the PS for some

Here is a genuine Machida diffraction grating made of 50 micron quartz fibers aligned side by side and sandwhiched between two pieces of glass. It is 5mm x 10mm and 1mm thick. There are some small flaws near the ends(where you will glue it to your mount) but the middle 5x5mm area is clear and useable. I am going to include an expensive rotary mount you can attach it to($100 value) This grating produces an amazing fan of beams. More than 50 orders, and also breaks the laser beam into its component colors. The photo shows me using one of these on a concert tour with more than 20 watts of argon laser passing through it night after night with no damage.
