Surplus used welder. This is a Miller Big 20 It is designed for SMAW/stick welding but when coupled with a compressor could handle light air arc gouging as well. With appropriate equipment it can also do GTAW/TIG. With a suitcase wire feeder like an LN-25 you could also do GMAW/FCAW(MIG/Flux core) with it. This is Miller's answer to the insanely popular Lincoln SA-200 Pipeliner and having used both in the field. They both put down a similar quality bead. Here is a used running Miller roughneck welder. I bought this to use a the motor for my lincoln weldanpower. Nope not happening. Different connection arrangement. I was told that the engine ran when I bought it. It does. I squirt gas in the carb, cranked it and off it went. Ran nice for about 2 minutes and I shut it down as I was only squirting gas thru a pump can(real safe huh? No knocks no smoke no weird stuff. Motor is electric start, no controls or wire. I was also told that the welder was a question mark. I checked the plug with a digital volt meter and got 6v while running. I opened the cover to see if there was anything obvious. no not to me. I spoke to some electrical guys and the thoughts range from, bad capacitors to fried rotor. i just have no clue. So my lack of knowledge could be your new welder! No leads. Abrasive blasted, primed, and finished with single stage polyurethane paint. Compressions measured: 125. 130, 125, 130 psi. Leads: stinger is 30ft. Ground is 22ft. They bought it as refurbished so I believe the hours reflect the time it was used after being refurbished. It is in very good condition. Kubota V1902 starts right up and this welds really nice. I have been told that this is similar to a Lincoln Classic and Lincoln builds these machines for Red D Arc. We did have to straighten out and repaint the roof and front cover on the bottom because. I was told, someone wacked it with the crane hook. It was not serious damage just dents to the sheet metal. Machine runs at constant 1800 rpm and is copper wound. This is a Miller Boom Welding Machine with an approximately 12 foot long boom and 3 metal locking storage cabinets. The entire machine is mounted to a steel pallet like frame. It has a Hobart Arc-Master 501 welder with a Hobart HMC-410 pulse control. It is a dual station set up which allows two wire speed and voltage settings and two separate rolls of wire on the arm. It can be moved to location easily with a pallet jack or fork-lift. The boom is really nice for keeping the welding leads and gun from getting tangled around whatever is being welded. The boom has 360 degree rotation and can lift approximately 60 degrees. This auction includes the steel pallet frame.
