It has been in my home all these years until three months ago when I placed it in my storage building. Eddie Arnold still sounded great. I checked out an Eartha Kitt record and it sounds great as well. Radio receives just fine, but the music has changed a bit over the years. lol I don't know your age, but this system will not sound like a CD player or an IPOD. These systems had their own sound and to me that was better. I used it for many years without a problem. Then like most other people I purchased a computer and started using it instead of my stereo system. This system is meant to be used in order to stay in tip top condition. Using it keeps the points and connectors cleaned. A small drop of oil now and then keeps things turning. Speakers work. It is a good system and will need a bit of cleaning as I have stated. Measuring approximately 62"l x 24"w x 9"d- varies with how the discs are spread out. Has four hanging hooks on the back of the piece. This sculpture is in good vintage condition with minor oxidation consistent with it's natural aging. There are some barely visible surface scratches on a few of the discs. Curtis DC Motor Controller 1221C 7401
This is a used Curtis DC Motor speed controller. Voltage: 72- 120 VDC. Amps: 400A. I used this for about 18 months on an electric vehicle that I converted myself. I have since gone with a smaller EV conversion and no longer need this large/powerful speed controller. Like all Curtis speed controllers it makes a 1kHz noise at low throttle(serves as an auditory indicator to pedestrians) At higher throttle. The noise goes away. I have had absolutely no problems with this controller. I has worked flawlessly since the first time I used it(over 12.000 miles driven on it) There are some gouges on the top of the chassis caused by fan screws in an early experiment in keeping this controller cool. Bare aluminum is exposed but there are no signs of corrosion. In its mounting. VINTAGE SCARAB BRACELET This is a huge vintage scarab bracelet! I have had them before but this is the biggest I have seen. It is from 1925 to 1950's. Made by Curtman Curtis Creations. It is marked 1/20 12 GF in multiple places. It also has the round tag with the makers hallmark. It has big beautiful stones. Onyx. Carnelian, Lapis, Quartz, Jade, and Tigers Eye. E ach of the stones are connected with strong double links. It measures 8" long by just over 1" wide. There are some very small differences in the thickness of the stones.
